Esky and Omar never seem to get days off. Salvy, sure. Cain, maybe. But Moose needs another day off? Hosmer? He's even got a short walk to get to his position!

And how are Moose and Hosmer going to sit at the same time? Cuthbert at 3rd...Morales to 1st...and...Dyson is going to DH? Maybe Moose can at least DH, if he isn't too tired.

Baseball is the easiest sport Ive ever played. Its not even close. I feel like more has been taken out of me after an 18 hole round of golf (walking) than sitting in a dugout half the time. With that said, that would not apply to a catcher. That's a tough demanding exhausting job.

But it wasn't. Hypothetical runs are just like hypothetical touchdowns. It's like fantasy football rationale.

Why? It's like a run defense allowing a 70 yard run and the FS forcing a fumble at the 2. Bend but don't break!

Saying Guts "only" allowed 4 runs is downplaying how terrible he pitched last night, and has most of the season. A great play by Escobar didn't "improve" Guts outing by 20%. It was what it was

Friend of mine told me he hears a rumor that Royals are working on a three way deal with Toronto and Cincy, where we end up with Cueto. Anybody heard anything similar?

Their third base coach chose to gamble and send him. If he hadn't waived him, you wouldn't be having this stupid discussion. (You'd still be having a stupid discussion...just not THIS stupid discussion.)

I was at the game. Guthrie was terrible, but it was a very professional start. When your 5th starter has nothing and gives up 4 runs in 7 innings, that's great. He gave us a chance to win...better than any of our other starters have done against Houston this year who have a combined 8.79 ERA.

No runs and only four hits by our offense gave us no chance to win.

I like J Guts. Great clubhouse guy. He is what he is. We can't win games at a .700 clip. We're going to lose 2, sometimes 3 in a row. It happens.

At least there was one positive.

That should never happen!!!!!

Completely unacceptable performance by our #5. Just a ****ing joke.

I had Al Bundy on ignore last year and if it wasn't so hilarious to mock him I'd probably put him back on.

I think he might be trolling, though. I haven't figured it out. He's either really ****ing stupid or a really good troll. I lean towards the former but I'm starting to think the latter may be a possibility.

When I saw the highlights on MLB.com, I counted 5 imaginary runs that could have scored had Houston traded for Trout and Harper. Un****ingbelievable that some of you find this acceptable.

He's our 2:

Volquez: 120 IP
Guts: 107
Young: 95
Yordano. 76
Duffy: 70

By circumstance. The roster was originally constructed with him as the #5, and this is exactly how he should be viewed.
