That he said no to working with Pioli.

So the implication is that someone with the Chiefs has reached out to Billick, or Billick has reached out to KC.

I didnt realize Kyle Boller was a #1 Overall/Franchise QB.

Billick has been on record that he knows how important a franchise QB is now and would make it a priority to get one if he gets another shot at it.

I wouldn't think so

Downside of doing this is that it limits the number of guys available.

unless Clark Hunt really is going Jerry Jones and plans on being part GM himself.

well it makes sense from a full control standpoint

but Clark specifically said he wants an NFL guy that is a proven leader with experience. What I got from that he doesnt want a fresh NFL coach, he basically wants a retread

I liked the Haley hire and still do, and anyone who thought it was a terrible hire is talking revisionist history. At the time pioli was hired, he was the only thing close to a good candidate on the market.

Hunt hired pioli and it appeared that the option was either hire Haley or let herm lame duck so that in 2009, the chiefs would get to search for a coach in the first wave. Pendergast is a classic example of a lame duck hire because of what was available at the time. Once we knew haley was in, herm was out. I wouldn't be surprised if we saw something similar here. I don't care how it's done, as long as it is done and pioli can't demolish this franchise any further.

"Last time we were late to the process and that shrinks your pool of candidates significantly"

-- Clark Hunt admitting that Todd Haley wasn't his guy, just the last piece of crusty pizza left in the box.

Kindly shove that bullshit you've been shoveling for 4 years now, thank you.

You're wrong. You've been wrong the whole time about essentially everything you've proffered an opinion on. Just accept it, learn from the adults on the board and hopefully someday you'll be able to speak intelligently to the goings on at Arrowhead.

At least he was willing to draft one. He struck out, that doesn't mean he's incapable of getting it right the second time. And it's a lot easier to get it right when you have the first pick.

Where do you think it came from then? Koehler doesn't fit ANY of the criteria Clark just mentioned.

So either Pioli or someone close to him put this out there or Clark just lied.

And he's been shit in that player personnel role too. So?

Chunt has painted himself in a corner with the Pisoli demotion. I wish he would have asked him if his contract was extended already

While I am warmed up a bit with his supposed saying he now thinks a QB is priority number one, We can do a lot better.

Basically. Pioli will likely be a contract guy, like Denny Thum was under Carl.

Reaper16 12-31-2012 02:34 PM

The rhetoric of the Petro interview and the Mitch Holthus interview both suggest pretty strongly that Pioli is gone.

The bad news? Full control head coach setups rarely bring Super Bowl success. But at this point in the franchise, getting back to plain respectability is a worthy first goal.

It's been reported that Chip Kelly is a "full control" guy.

So yeah, your dream still has some life.
