Does anyone actually think we are NOT acquiring a pitcher by deadline?

his excuse for not watching the games live is because he doesn't want to watch commercials

you know ... those 2 minute commercial breaks between innings

so he saves 30 minutes not watching the games live

in other words, the ****ing moron doesn't watch the games

We will.

Otherwise we'll have to count on Manaea somehow pulling off a Matt Moore impersonation.

Is bitch simultaneously arguing that Guthrie isn't a major league starter and that he's our #2 starter?

JFC...they seem to get a lot of days off...especially Moose.

Sounds like a recipe for a sweep to me.

Goddamn, Yost loves to rest his starters. I've never seen anything like it.

I think he might be trolling, though. I haven't figured it out. He's either really ****ing stupid or a really good troll. I lean towards the former but I'm starting to think the latter may be a possibility.

Al's serious. Read his thoughts on football QB's that have played for UCF/USF whatever school.

We'll see if he plays balls-out in LF like before.

This. He is consistent across the board with all of his teams. Does the same with the Warriors, Bucs, and UCF.

This. And it couldn't have been an easy decision as Cain has been on a tear.

I will never complain about getting Cain an off-day. He still isn't far removed from being the injury prone pane of glass that he was for his entire career before May-June of last year.

Agree on the catcher for sure...but unless there's some lingering injury or something, there is really no reason for Moose/Hoz to need (another) random off-day. It's not like a real day off, either. They presumably still need to take BP and prepare to play, just in case. They just don't actually play. So we get a minor-leaguer at 3rd instead of Moose. A DH at 1st instead of Hosmer.

Cain? I don't know...he's had his hammy issues and in general seems a bit fragile, and he does cover a lot of ground out there in CF vs 10 ft for an infielder, but JFC...we're trying to win a division here...
Win some games and give 'em all the last two weeks of September off.

I see him making every start, gobbling up tons of bad innings, and I even saw him start twice in the World Series incl Game 7. There's very little meaning to the term "5 starter" esp during the season where each spot gets the same 32 starts. So he's the 5th guy to start a game? Meaningless, he starts as many as Volquez does and with YV and Duffy struggles he'll start more
