I know why people are post whoring the donation thread, but why are people post whoring that Raider thread?

veist 10-20-2011 08:24 PM

Okay so I was home for all of last night's game but was out watching the game tonight, the run scored while I was in the car. Do I stay at home for the other games, or go out? Just for Jaime's next start if needed since he actually looked good tonight? Also, I can't express enough how much I <3 Allen Craig and Scrabble.

Man I swear a week ago cardinals fans wanted to waive Jaime Garcia...what happened!?!?!?

KC_Connection 10-20-2011 08:26 PM

When you keep batting your best hitters 5,6,7 and keep the awful Andrus, an injured Hamilton, and Michael Young 2,3,4, you deserve to lose.

Ron might want to consider some lineup construction changes.

Each team in the survivor planet has a thread they are post whiting. Whoever gets the most posts wins.

Have we had a hit all night that didn't come with 2 out?

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-20-2011 08:31 PM

Holliday, how about some State Farm here.

BATMANG in the last inning.

KC_Connection 10-20-2011 08:32 PM

Adams is good, but that HR-suppressing environment in San Diego has helped him out significantly in his career. I'd love to see him in a full season on another team.

Marcellus 10-20-2011 08:32 PM

This is what WS BB is about, and Clay was bitching in the other thread about it being a boring game.

LMAO

Frazod 10-20-2011 08:33 PM

Sure would like some insurance here. These guys are just too good - they've got to break out at some point.

:spock:

This game has been absolutely riveting from the first pitch.

Marcellus 10-20-2011 08:34 PM

Shit calls starting to trinkle in.

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-20-2011 08:35 PM

Really wish we had Freese up here. Hopefully Descalso can bring back some of his early season RISP and high leverage magic.

Frazod 10-20-2011 08:35 PM

Sure wish Tony hadn't pulled Freese.

Marcellus 10-20-2011 08:35 PM

Anybody else still having slow reply times in this thread?

BigRedChief 10-20-2011 08:35 PM

I don't care that TLR has made every move right. Not having Freese in this spot because of his defense is stupid.

Very questionable unless Motte seals the deal then......

KC_Connection 10-20-2011 08:38 PM

Getting Kinsler out is the key...Andrus and Hamilton have been flailing away for a while now.

With a lead in a low scoring struggle in the late innings against a team with great speed, it's a perfectly acceptable move, Descalso just came up in a bad spot.

Taking out Berkman or Holliday when their spot is sure to come up the next inning is an altogether different matter. We needed two runners to reach just for Freese's spot to come up.

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-20-2011 08:40 PM

How the **** was that not a swing?

Marcellus 10-20-2011 08:41 PM

Holy shit. 1st 1-0 PS game in Cards history.....to this point.

KC_Connection 10-20-2011 08:42 PM

Andrus will bunt, I'm sure. He's useless otherwise.

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-20-2011 08:42 PM

Jesus Christ. Goddamn ****ing dying quail. That Jew Bastard just keeps reaching base without hitting the ball hard.

WS.

Remember Carpenter two weeks ago?

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-20-2011 08:44 PM

Goddamn. He was safe.

Buck 10-20-2011 08:44 PM

Holy hell he must have had a monster jump.

KC_Connection 10-20-2011 08:44 PM

Yadier's arm is ridiculous, but Kinsler almost never gets CS for a reason. He picks the right time to go.

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-20-2011 08:48 PM

I don't know what to do here. Do you walk Hamilton?

No. Struggling way too much.

mnchiefsguy 10-20-2011 08:48 PM

Do you walk Hamiliton, play the infield in...and try to get a force at home? That would set up a double play.

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-20-2011 08:49 PM

This is a mistake. Rhodes can't throw strikes and he's not a swing and miss pitcher. This is Motte's game, it's not his fault Kinsler on got with a dying quail.

I agree. Rhodes to pitch to Hamilton then who?

Frazod 10-20-2011 08:49 PM

Sadly, we're overdue for LaRussa's tinkering to bite us in the ass. But you can't fault him too much. Motte just choked.

KC_Connection 10-20-2011 08:49 PM

Going to Rhodes is probably the right decision. Dotel is still out there for Young and Beltre, right?

I would. It's easier to make a play at the plate when you have a force play. Realistically, you just need to keep Andrus stranded.

tk13 10-20-2011 08:50 PM

I don't know about this. I think Motte can blow it by Hamilton. Rhodes might throw some ducks up there Hamilton can catch up to.

Hamilton's frustrated, though, so he may just expand the zone for Rhodes.

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-20-2011 08:51 PM

FWIW, Hamilton hits lefties really well (10 HR this year, IIRC), so there isn't much of a platoon advantage.

BigRedChief 10-20-2011 08:52 PM

Strike out and the a walk and a double play is our only way out.

TrebMaxx 10-20-2011 08:52 PM

If you are going to walk him then why pull Motte?

Yea I would have kept with Motte for at least one batter. Hamilton can't turn on a fastball right now.

Josh Hamilton career OPS vs. RHP: .958
Josh Hamilton career OPS vs. LHP: .797

It's a tough one, but LaRussa played the odds.

Frazod 10-20-2011 08:52 PM

Shit shit shit

Hootie 10-20-2011 08:52 PM

thought he may have gotten all of that one

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-20-2011 08:52 PM

Letter high dog shit. That's why you don't bring in Rhodes.

CaliforniaChief 10-20-2011 08:52 PM

Rhodes pitching like he's already got his WS ring. Oh, wait...

KC_Connection 10-20-2011 08:53 PM
