This is really untrue.

It's the new generation of kids and parents that are driving the merch, DVD's, etc. There will be millions of 3-10 year old boys and girls dressed in Marvel and DC costumes tomorrow for Halloween.

Just like when you hear people that read books that are made into movies telling you how much better the book story was. It is the same with comic books. Those people do not get harped on as much. People just like harass comic fans.

Please. Films rarely compare to the novels they're based on due to a variety of factors the time available to tell a particular story is generally the main reason. It's impossible to read a 400-1,000 page (or more) book in 90-120 minutes.

Mind boggling.

It's not "mind boggling". Books are books, comics are comics, films are films. They are different mediums for storytelling.

Whoawhoawhoa. Where did you get this? I do hope it's real.

Same here. Love comic book movies. But I haven't picked up a comic book since I was about 12. I have no preconceived ideas about what these characters and movies should do.

There are all the parents that do buy the stuff for the kids, but from friends and working retail growing up. Their is a larger group of adults that buy the same toys, then the expensive toys. Look at the new tv show heroes of cosplay, these people spend a ton of jack.

I agree, I could of come across better, this is where fanboys need to get over it, I meant it happens with everything in all mediums.

I think filmmakers realize they have the hardcore fanboys no matter what. They might piss and moan, but ultimately they will still spend money if the movie is good.

Look at Iron Man 3. That made mad jack, even though a ton of fanboys complained about the Mandarin.
