I'm in a similar situation as you. Complete tear of my acl, grade 2 mcl and 2 fractures to my tibia. Did it about 12 days ago.

Jesus dude. Sorry to hear that. I'm going to hide in my basement in case you guys are contagious

I am not sure what the ligaments are called. I broke the fibia (spelling) the bottom part of leg behind the shin. And all of the ligaments between the leg and ankle were torn. I am having surgery tomorrow morning to place a bracket and screws in the bone to keep it aligned.

That's the opposite end of the lower leg than me.

Sorry to hear about it, and good luck with everything tomorrow.

I've told you a thousand times. Never turn your back on a Broncos lineman.

Or was it something else? That sounds like it would hurt.

Skiing. Technically, the landing. Surprisingly not that painful.

Rest up and kick ass in rehab. Do what the doctors say.

Sheeeet. I could've done it cheaper. I've got a dewalt and some plumbers tape.

Not sure how I missed this thread, but I had a similar injury (torn ligaments, broken tibia, fibula, femur). They put my knee back together just to stabilize it with an external fixator. I had to wait for 5 months before they went back in to reconstruct it. After my 2nd knee surgery I had to sit in a constant passive motion machine for 23 hours a day for 2 weeks with my leg stapled from my shin to my quad.

Glad you made it through, it definitely gets better.
