I'd post the Mass Transit incident, if necessary. IIRC, New Jack now has brain damage from a spot gone wrong or someone who stiffed the shit out of him about 5 years back.

No thanks, I've never seen that video and really don't have a desire to. I heard the poor fat kid was literally spouting blood from his forehead. New Jack was definitely a guilty pleasure wrestler. He didn't do any moves but was still very fun to watch, with all the shit he'd bring to the ring and the insane dives from the crow's nest at the ECW Arena.

For those that still think pro wrestling takes no talent, sit back and enjoy highlights of possibly the best match of 2006, the Dragon Gate 6-Man from SuperCard of Honor from ROH. ROH put on three shows Wrestlemania weekend in Chicago and blew WWE out of the water with the quality.

I almost spit soda, literally.

Which is why that crowd was so hostile...

I remember when WWF had that "shoot" tournament. I forget what it was called, but it was basically the league that "Butterbean" fought in. Boxing and whatnot. Anyways, the winner of the tournament got to fight Butterbean. It lasted quite a few weeks and finally a wrestler won it, and got knocked the F out in under 15 seconds by Butterbean. They never did that again - keep it choreographed.

It was called "Brawl for All". A sterling idea for sure.

Here's the next poll...

If you love wrestling, do you also love Olympic Gymnastics?

-and-

If not, what makes wrestling different? The outfits? The oil (oh so, so much oily oil)? The microphones under the "mat" to make it sound so much meaner?

Dude, take a bump on those mats sometime and then talk about how easy it is.

There have been plenty of shoots over the years...

Ah yes. That was hilarious. They wouldn't even talk about it after that happened.

They tried to use it to build up "Dr. Death" Steve Williams as a legitimate badass. He got knocked the F out by some nobody.

The legit tough guys aren't the stars.

They wanted to do a pure shoot tournament but were definitely hoping for certain guys to win/lose. When Bart Gunn (not even near the middle of the card) beat Bradshaw (certified tough guy), they about shit their pants because that's the last thing they wanted to happen. Then Butterbean knocked Gunn silly in like 10 seconds at Wrestlemania.

The best "shoot" moment I've seen recently was in the Mick Foley/Edge feud before Wrestlemania last year. During an interview segment on Raw, Edge punched Foley and he bled all over the place. The one unique thing about it was that Foley wanted it to be completely authentic (no blade job) so he ordered Edge to punch him for real over the eye and the result was perfect. It opened up a huge gash immediately.

It was Bart Gunn. Dr. Death was a character from the 80's mostly in Mid-South Wrestling, IIRC. There's a good interview on youtube of Ted Dibiase in his pre-Million Dollar Man days giving a promo about the heartache he felt after watching the Freebirds spike piledrive Dr. Death's bitch ass onto a concrete floor. ROFL

I get that the rest of you freaks are wrestling dorks but the so-called intellectual 'Hamas' is highly disappointing.

This is highly embarrassing. What if somebody sees me talking to you people?
