Yeah...it's worked so well in the past. Look, none of us know at this point if Thiggy is a worthwhile investment at QB or not. We know Huard isn't. I hate to break it to some of you, but it's more important to find out about our youngsters at this point than stumbling along with DH or others like him, and hoping to eek out a stray victory or two (all we can expect from that approach). The ONLY thing that Huard has over Thiggy is experience. It's time to see if we have a diamond in the rough, or just a hunk of coal. Where's the downside? |

Huard has good touch and is more accurate than Thigpen. |
SO let's cut to the point: is Michael Turner going to have 400 or 500 yards rushing Sunday?

I am in favor of Croyle starting. If he's not healthy, then Thigpen. Maybe even Martin eventually.
At some point, if we're 3/4 through the year and it's bloody obvious they are both non-starters as NFL QBs, then whatever. Have Huard mop up the season. I see the point that all these three play drives are not giving the young guys on offense enough experience. But developing a QB is the team's #1 priority and we should give that our best effort. |
