Yeah but Gibbs and Pendergast were fired from their previous roles as defensive coordinator for overseeing horrible defenses.

A pretty sorry collection. It also really shows a lack of confidence that they are afraid to go public with who the offensive and defensive coordinators are. In fact it's worse than a lack of confidence, it's kind of buffoonish and unprofessional.

are you really whitlock?

I am more disappointed that Krumrie is still here. There has to be some explanation for why he still has a job because up till now he has been one of the worst coaches in the NFL.

UGH. I almost hate to say this (it's going to sound like a defense of Krumrie), but what position coach on the team had less to work with last year?

Eric Price maybe?
I'd argue that Bowe's much better at his position than Hali is at his.

Krumrie has one middling DE and a bunch of young guys who aren't ready to be big contributors yet.

Seriously... What position coach had less to work with?

We can't just look at their draft positions and assume that they should be an all-world line.

Me neither. Very disappointed and Pendergast as the DC is horrid

Pendergast oversaw:

19th ranked defense in yards allowed (331.5 ypg vs Chiefs' 393.2)
27th ranked defense in 3rd down conversions allowed (44% vs Chiefs' 47%)
26th in penalty yards allowed (816 yards vs Chiefs' 588 -- Chiefs were #3 in that category)
27th ranked defense in points allowed (26.6 per game vs. Chiefs' 27.5)
T-17th for total Interceptions (13 vs. Chiefs' 13)
T-8th for forced fumbles (20 vs. Chiefs' 20)
T-14th for sacks registered (31 vs. Chiefs' 10)

They also held opponents to 13 points or less only 4 times (and 2 of those were against the St. Louis Rams).

If it's Pendergast that would be very disappointing...

pendergast was in the superbowl, his d played well in the playoffs. gibbs had a lot of injured players. AND he was the d coord on a team that REFUSED to run the ****ing ball.

They may still be hammering out who's what. It's weird whatever it is.

The Cardinals have a ton of talent yet their defense wasn't good...explain that.

It is his job to coach up these guys and when you lead a group of men that breaks the NFL record for least sacks in a season you shouldn't have a job. PERIOD.

Also go back and look at what the Bills D-Line did when he was there and after he left and you can tell he was part of the problem as the coach.
