OTW has been one of them ever since I started reading this site.

Once again, you've completely missed the boat.

He's making a joke regarding the fanbase and the QB position.

The majority has spoken several times and claimed they would rather have someone with lessor tools but with a smidge of NFL experience than to have someone with unlimited potential who is straight out of college.

This fanbase isn't willing to give potential a chance, hence the joke. They'd rather take the safer route.

Hold on.

People are so quick to look at the END of a game for answers, but ignore the beginning.

I was asked what more Cassel could have done to win that game, and I pointed out SEVERAL things, namely, not go 10-20 and stall twice inside the 30 and once inside the 15.

That's fact. Sorry you don't like it. Better 1st half play wouldn't necessitate a miracle effort in the 2nd just to get to OT.

And regarding the double standard, I didn't say that, Doomy brought that scenario to the conversation, which was ridiculous - comparing a 2-time SB Champion to a guy that has 11 career starts is comedy gold.

Again, others have made this about Cassel. I'm only saying that this fanbase has a habit of making excuses for average QB's when they fail. Seeing as how Cassel has yet to take a snap in a Chiefs uniform, I don't see where he fits in this equation. I simply made a comment about a picture that epitomizes the thinking of this fanbase - that the QB never seems to be held accountable, and that there's always an excuse that absolves him from blame.

I'm sure Chiefs fans are not the only ones that make excuses for their average QB's.....every fan wants their team to win.

BULLSHIT!

True Fan Dipshit: Cassel has starting time in the NFL! = POTENTIAL !!!!

True Fan Dipshit: Sanchez has no NFL starting time! = NO POTENTIAL!!!

Well what about his mechanics, athleticism, and quick release?

True Fan Dipshit: Sanchez has no NFL starting time! = NO POTENTIAL!!!

( repeat....mother****ing....AD NAUSEUM )

Here's a guy who's been here a whopping FOUR months acting as if this is breaking news.

Here's a tip for you - we've all had this discussion before - well before you came along. People made excuses for Green, Huard and Thigpen when they lost as well.

It has nothing to do with Cassel, his potential, nor his performance in said game.

Now run along.

Obviously, it was about his performance, because when others brought it up, you belittled it. He tied up the game by leading a hell of a comeback. No excuse was needed. Nonetheless, you pointed to it being a loss and used it as an excuse to attack other Chiefs fans.

The irony about you, and the rest of the people who do nothing but bitch about the franchise, is that you're every bit as bad as those you call "true fans", but you think you're superior. You do the exact same things you accuse them of except that you do it with a completely negative approach. You're not better than they are, or smarter than they are. You're just being a bigger douchebag than they are.

Congrats on that.

The problem I have with your points are that you are making them based on a single game.

On the one hand, we can't make case that Cassel is anything special based on that game, because even Steve Bono led the Chiefs to a couple of game tying/winning drives in his time with the Chiefs.

But neither can we dismiss his performance in that game because the team lost.

Even the greats have lost tough games in similar situations.

What we can take from that game is that Cassel is an accurate passser and has some escapability.

But we also saw that there are some things that he needs to work on, like his deep ball and learning to read defenses quicker and getting the ball out.

You know, you could live a full and happy life even without nuzzling the crotches of OTW, Mecca and Hamas every time they post. Why do you allow yourself to be nothing more than their lapdog?

Congrats on that.

Sanchez is just the latest example; this really has nothing to do with him or Cassel.
But don't sit here act like being a "Smiley Happy" douchebag is any better than being a douchebag:

Vinegar and Water produce the same result regardless of the packaging.

Please, link to the post where I belittled his performance.

You won't find one.

What you WILL find, is me answering Doomy when he asked what more Cassel could have done to win, and I pointed out several things.

But go ahead, continue attacking as if you know me.

While you're at it, feel free to dig up all those negative posts of mine about Branden Albert.

Or Brandon Flowers.

Or Dwayne Bowe.

Or Brandon Carr.

Or Tank Tyler.

Among others.

Shouldn't be that difficult if I am as negative about the entire franchise as you claim I am.

I'm confused. Your last several threads you have said you were happy with Cassel now. Now that one of your idols is arguing against Cassel in this thread, you have again changed your mind? Shocking.

Dude, my point lies FAR beyond Cassel, and I've pointed that out numerous times. My point really has nothing to do with Cassel, other than the fact that the picture of him that Clayton posted reminded me of how ridiculous the fanbase is when it comes to absolving QB's of any blame.
