That would be a huge draw indeed, with Fedor being grounded & pounded out like all of the rest...from seeing his Pride reruns, he simply cannot physically match up IMO.

I think the best opponent right now for Lesnar, is Anderson Silva...too bad they couldnt break the rules just once, that would be Biblical...could Lesnars sheer, brute force bad intentions...overcome Silvas rickdickulous range of strikes & far, far better than the eye can gauge strength...knocking Forrest out with what looked to be a feinting, defensive jab?

Oh it would happen if the UFC/M1 Global would come to agreements on the whole co-promte thing. But Dana White is going to stand his ground which he should. UFC doesn't have any problem with drawing viewers, he's made the entire sport mainstream and what it is today. Strikeforce is around because of the way UFC brought the sport into the light. There wouldn't be other fight leagues around if it werent for UFC making the sport become more popular.

Only way it would happen is if one of the fighters gets out of their contract. Brock is the UFCs highest paid fighter IIRC. I could be wrong on that. But he's making bank, so I doubt he wants to do that. UFC is the NFL of MMA anyways. Don't know why someone would leave unless it was all about $$$. But Dana offered Fedor the ****in world almost to come fight in the UFC and wouldnt do it because.....the co-promote and disagreements both parties had.

So they would fight if they co-promote.

Thing is though.....they won't come to agreement to co-promote. And Fedor is partial owner of M1.

Therefore, we won't see the fight.

Kimbo fights tonight. Just a reminder.

Well I wouldnt necessarily say never about this fight. My fear though is that if it does ever happen, it will be when Fedor is no longer in his prime and is on the downside of his career. So at that point it probably wouldn't be a fair fight anyways. However, I'll have my fingers crossed that it happens sometime sooner rather than later. How many fights did Fedor sign on for with Strikeforce anyways?

Big Country is no joke, Rashad may think he's uncoachable but he's tough. Kimbo may win it though because Dana said he stays in the UFC no matter what happens on TUF.

No, Kimbo stays in it because $$$$

Dana can talk shit all he wants, but $$$$ will shut him the **** up. Kimbo is a draw whether people like it or not. If he thinks Kimbo is the laughing stock on MMA, but will make millions, White will eat his own words, and wash them down with dollar bills.

Brock 09-30-2009 04:11 PM

What's ridiculous is that Fat Country thinks he's some kind of star. It isn't Kimbo with the prima donna attitude. Kimbo's working hard and following instructions.

Yea. As much as I have seen Nelson fight, which is quite a bit on like HDnet Tv, I think Kimbo's gonna kick his ass. But who knows. Neslon is a pretty tough guy. The one thing he's definitely got going for him vs. Kimbo is his experience. Nelsons been around for a while and been pretty decent at it.

lol you think Fedor can't match up physically, but you think a 185 pound Silva can match up :spock:

TrickyNicky 09-30-2009 04:38 PM

That said. Big Country is the best fighter on the show.

TRR 09-30-2009 04:39 PM

I'm a big Kimbo fan, but Roy Nelson probably is a little too game for him. If Kimbo can last the fight and make it competitive, he will have legitimized himself as a worthy heavyweight opponent in my book. I watched Roy Nelson fight in the IFL for a long time, and he is every bit as good as any heavyweight in the UFC not named Brock Lesnar.
