The 2-0 argument really irks me.

If this team was 2-0 and the offense was clicking, you'd all have a point. It could be claimed that we're winning BECAUSE of the decision to limit JC.

But that's not the case.

The offense is stagnant, and our best player is getting 12 touches a game.

We're not winning because of this decision, we're winning in spite of it.

LJ didn't have to worry about getting his carries.

He had to worry about the sheep who listen to kc sports radio.

What channel is this guy on?

Pretty much. It would be nice to have a line to run behind.

The run blocking has been above average through two games.

but Thomas Jones was great on Sunday if you ask me...

He ran very hard and he's a great player...

Exactly. And McCluster is a hell of a good RB as well, which is where he is mostly playing... not so much at slot receiver. The hen house is a bit crowded.

It probably has more to do with the worst player on the team air mailing passes. Let's call him "Drive Killer".

Although I do expect to see more screens at some point.

Screens = JC

Hence me saying what I said.

Spoke with players via text. Not Charles.

Hootie 09-21-2010 01:09 PM

I don't mind the role splitting as much as I think they have it backwards...

I don't know...we're 2-0...and neither of these backs are going to do much until Cassel makes other teams start respecting our passing game...

and that isn't happening right now...so I'm just happy our defense is playing so well.

OnTheWarpath15 09-21-2010 01:09 PM

Apparently Carthon went out of his way to MF Charles after picking up a 3rd down conversion - and Charles was "despondent and distraught."

This according to players.

Says that Mo Carthon was yelling at Charles up and down the sideline and went out of his way to embarrass Jamaal Charles.

Says after that, Jamaal Charles sat by himself and didn't talk to coaches and teammates.

The offense isn't clicking because the QB sucks. The run game actually has been pretty good so far.

I don't know why this is even an issue to be honest.

I don't think it's even been average, and the per-carry totals would bear that out, but I think that's more attributable to the lack of a passing game than to the line.
