McCluster was moved back to RB.

Carr is going to be relatively cheap, IMO. Hell, two seasons ago, there were no shortage of posters blaming him for major problems in the secondary and advocating that he should be replaced.

His argument is basically money with all the other guys who's contracts are up. Tamba, Flowers, Bowe.

All teams have to spend 99% of the cap the next 2 years. Money isn't an issue.

I'll be curious to see what Jonathon Joseph gets. I think his contract should be similar to what Carr gets.

Not as easy as it sounds.

Exactly. Now is the perfect time to get the guys we want on the team locked in. Tamba, Flowers, Carr, get them signed, sealed and delivered.

Whats everyone think about Pat Delvin coming in as a unsigned draftee?

IMO 7.5-10 million per year average...each (I think those are bargain numbers)

DJ got a contract worth about 7/yr (15 guaranteed) and corners are worth a lot more.

I believe that 99% is including all money not counted against the cap. Such as benefit packages, the $3million cap exemption each team gets, bonuses, injury settlements, dead money paid on contracts to cut players. All of it.

As far as an actual cap # is concerned, each teams contracts and bonuses that actually count against the cap, only HAVE to equal 89-90% of the overall cap. I'm also VERY unclear as to whether or not the $3million dollar cap exemption is mandatory, don't know whether or not it must be used every year by every team...

Babb says the Chiefs are pretty set at nose tackle. My goooooodness.

Bowe is a FA next year as well.

I'd love to see two rookie development QB's. I will be disappointed if they bring in an old broke vet to backup Cassel. It's not the Patriot way, and is a waste of a roster spot that could be used to develop potential starters at the most important spot on the team.

Yeah, just saw he thinks our number one position of need now is ILB. Not sure what he's smoking?

IMO we need a vet for insurance for if Cassel goes down.

Practice squad?

Yeah

53 man roster?

No way

You must actually believe this team will make a run then. I don't think this team is SuperBowl bound and therefore, if Cassel goes down, I'd rather see a potential QBOTF get valuable snaps.

The Patriots are Superbowl contender regularly and consistently backup Brady with nothing but projects. Cassel being one of them.
