Hard to tell where the BCS would shake out with a LSU loss. That's 60 1st place votes to get tossed around between 3 teams.

SPchief 12-03-2011 02:42 PM

On the flip side, lets go Georgia

I know this isn't the basketball thread, but Arkansas was up 8-1 against UCONN the last time I looked. Suddenly, it was 22-12 UCONN. Good old Mike Anderson.

Reerun_KC 12-03-2011 02:44 PM

what a houston meltdown.

It needs to be a prison raping one way or the other for KSU to get a BCS. If OU does the raping it will put KSU in a title-sharing position and a OK shot at the BCS.

If OSU rapes, they will get the title outright and OU will be knocked out of the top 14 thus giving KSU a pretty good shot at a BCS game.

How much OU loses by shouldn't matter, with one more loss than the Cats putting them in a solid third place and K-State an uncontested second.... well if OU gets a pick over us, I'll pitch a fit like no other.

I wouldn't be so sure. Pollsters have shown in the past that they don't like rematches. Remember when Florida leapfrogged Michigan the last week of the season Leak's senior year? No chance that happens if the voters weren't trying to prevent a rematch.

What helped Florida was the SEC Championship game while Michigan sat idle. Big XII has no such game.

Technically true, but Georgia has no chance. They've played a weak schedule and struggled with Tennessee, Florida, Kentucky, and Vanderbilt.

The third SEC team that deserves a BCS berth is Arkansas.

Pretty sure OSU is playing a top 10 team while Alabama sits idle.

In a close game OU will still be top 14 easily. We will get screwed like we always have.

It's not a championship game. Both teams will be 11-1 if OSU wins. In 2006, Florida was 12-1 while Michigan was 11-1.

I want to watch our QBOTF RGIII but this bullshit Houston game is still on the ****ing TV and I don't have ESPNnews.

We better not see LSU vs alabama again. If Georgia wins today then neither of those teams won their conference championship. I will always have an issue with that.

That had nothing with the title game. That was activism by the voters, plain and simple. To your point, Diet OK is playing a major opponent today while Bama sits idle. It's the same thing.

tk13 12-03-2011 02:50 PM

It's not like OSU has a poor history or no name value... but I do think if they were Texas or OU, they would have a better shot to pass Alabama today. There have definitely been enough instances where voters have changed their votes just to do something like that.
