Kevin Harlan said many weeks ago that, when he interviewed the QB up in Buffalo, that Fitzpatrick said everybody knows that Carr is the guy to avoid, not Flowers...

Not so much. Carr has been thrown at 58 times, Flowers 61.

But I think they are just about the same guy, value-wise. Flowers is better at defending shorter routes, Carr is a better deep-ball defender.

Hasn't Flowers been beat a ton more times this year?

Either way the Chiefs have 0 excuse to lose any good player they have when they have such a huge amount of money to spend.

Yeah, Flowers has given up 8 TDs.

But 3 of them came against Calvin Johnson.

Other than that he actually has a higher coverage rating.

I do agree that Carr needs to be resigned, though.

Agreed. I wish they would pay Carr and Bowe, and get it over with.

Even if the Chiefs signed Carr to Flowers money, that's still less than the Jets have locked up in Revis/Cromartie. With 30mil to spend, wtf is the problem?

Micjones 12-05-2011 03:32 PM

Maybe the team is hoping that other teams will set the market for him?
I think that's a bad idea, but who knows with this FO?

Carr is bigger and faster.. While Flowers is much more physical. They really are good compliments to each other. Carr is a must sign IMO. Most of our big contracts we have signed are front loaded and we still have some 20 mil to drop, I don't think money should be a problem

oh, and be sure to send your letters of appreciation to one Mr. Herman Edwards

It really is... Who would have thought players got better after they got a little experience under their belt? Comparing Herms players to Pioli's rookie's is ****ing reeruned.

Not to mention, it seems to me that Flowers is a really great tackler, and really great in run support on the edge.

Clark "How many more tickets will I sell if I pay this Carr guy lots of money?"
