You don't seem to understand football and momentum very well. In reviewing the video again to answer Kysirsoze's post, I noted that the score at the time of the play was 9-7 with most of the 4th quarter left.
Instead it becomes 12-7, and now instead of only a FG to take the lead in a mighty defensive struggle, the Packers are looking at a TD or two FGs with quite possibly only two possessions remaining in the game, PLUS the momentum being on the Chiefs side (instead of the Packers' side, potentially, because of the turnover).
"Unlikely the Packers do anything there"? Well, they get the ball back at their 20 as a result of the touchback. Whether they can do anything or not, it's a helluva lot better to be down 2 points with the ball than down 5 with another minute or two burned off the clock (whatever time it took for the Chiefs to run a few plays then kick the figgie).
