It seems pretty obvious ...
In last Sunday's game, we had no actual, normal quarterback position on the field. We had a handoff and occasional turnover specialist. It sponsored attention because that particular game-plan was the most shocking thing to take place on a football field since 1972 when Don McLean mooned the crowd during the halftime show.
So, here's how it probably went down ...
Babb sees the game and realizes (like everyone else in the world with TV reception) there's no point for Cassel to even be on the field since they're not going to throw a single pass all day. Then he remembers that Pioli used to demand that Haley play Cassel as well as other selected Pioli picks as starters. Then he thinks to himself, "Hmmm, I wonder if Pioli is forcing Roleo to start and play Cassel?" Then he says to himself, "I think I'll post a tweeter to that effect".
