There's no passion from the ownership... that's where the problem starts. Why don't we rent a "Clark, sell to Cuban!" banner. Some of it obviously is, but most Chiefs fans are very smart football people and could have amazing input. How cool would it be if the ownership did polls for fans in some of the decision making process?
I've always kind of wondered, if something happened to New England and Brady... I could see Belichick coaching here.

The NE tree only works if your in NE...once you leave NE, it's like you're not the same player/person anymore.

has anyone mentioned Charley Casserley yet?? I know he's a 'retread', but I always thought he was a pretty decent talent evaluater when he was with Washington and Houston??

I wasn't a big fan of his coaching hires, but I thought he did an especially good job with drafting for the Texans (hard to get an expansion team up and going), what with Johnson and Mario over Reggie, etc.

Actually you're wrong. MOST people are not reeruns. NFL fans are very studious. Many GMs are ego loyal and become very tunnel visioned. For instance, how do you think the fans would have voted if we would have run these polls at the time of decision?.....

Do we release Trent Green go or should he retire as a Chief?

Should Matt Cassel be signed to a long-term before the season starts or should we treat this first season as a try-out to assess his performance?

Don't kid yourself into thinking that most of the mouthy hotheads on here represent the majority of Chiefs fans. They don't. I'm not talking about making decisions based on the fans' polls, but rather taking them into consideration in the process. I would love it if Hunt would maybe sell the Chiefs to Chiefs stockholders like Green Bay did.
