This thread actually doesn't miss the mark by that much, so I could see what you're saying. I've thought for years there are many fans who are far more concerned with the chance to make the playoffs than actually winning once they get there ("anything can happen!" derp), and they can be pretty oblivious to stuff like how going 10-6 is pointless when you play the two weakest divisions in the NFL. Hell, I've been dreading the "average fan" would post this type of thread for weeks, when they were "only" 1-2, 1-3, 1-4 (especially if they had won another game or two).
But... everything else? Comparing Cassel to Brees? Defending Cassel far beyond what even the most homer fans have said? That crap wasn't "average fan" or even an exaggerated version of one... even if it started as a parody, it's now at best a tired schtick, and at worst just another troll.

Dude...until fairly recently the Chiefs website and most national pundits knew Cassel as "probowl Matt Cassel" and blamed everything under the sun for his failures. CP was well ahead of the curve.
Go read some threads about the guy on other sites from a year ago...
Believe it or not, LA was hitting outside the park homeruns the last couple years with how the average casual fan feels about this team.
It's sad, but 100% true.
Denial and ignorance ran rampant in this fanbase and in many ways, still did until our "SaveOurChiefs" movement took the reigns.
