Price is a free agent after this season and if he does come on the market that really changes the trade landscape for starting pitchers. A guy from Detroit came on the radio and said the organization gets the impression that Price has no intention of resigning with them.

After Morales' HR today, KC is on pace to hit 124 HR this season. That's still in the bottom five of MLB, but it is 30 more than the team hit a season ago.

While they are half-season rentals, they are arguably the best players at their respective positions, and any team that acquires them is going to get a big boost on their chances to make it in the playoffs. I feel like they should be able to get a top 50 prospect from them, IMHO, especially from Price.

Depends on where the bidding war goes.

Price hitting the market might actually drive the price down on him/Cueto, since now there are two ace-level guys on the trade market.

1.5 seasons of Cespedes were worth 0.5 seasons of Lester a season ago. 1 season of him was worth 1 season of Rick ****ing Porcello (back-end starter) during the offseason. Hard to say what a 1/2 season of Cespedes converts to in prospect terms.

True. I think there'll be a very desperate team that will be willing to give up a top 50 prospect for Price and Cespedes, IMHO.
