This. I thought OSU would be that team, but they have not lived up to expectations to this point in the season. I thought it would be Alabama, then I see their quality win is over a one dimensional LSU team that just lost to Arkansas. Clemson is solid, but I just can't completely buy in yet. I guess the uncertainty isn't a bad thing, makes it more interesting.

God. This board's total indifference to SEC football kind of sucks.

The outright dominance of the SEC has ended. The talking heads haven't quite figured that out yet. They still have some great teams and will be able to compete for national championships, but they aren't a lot better than the BIG, Pac 12, or Big 12 anymore. Even the ACC has closed the gap.

It's been a very "Meh" year in college football.

Really too bad Baylor lost their stud QB. Were a major threat to win it all, but that dream ended when he hurt his neck

A team built solely on offense with no defense will always face an uphill battle to win it all. The national perspective is that the big 12 is incapable of playing defense, not saying that is fair, but that certainly is the narrative. I personally think Baylor never had a chance.

The Big 12 flat-out sucks on defense.

It's horrific.
