$5.5M APY gives the Chiefs a 2018 compensatory pick that's a 5th for now, but lack of snaps for backup QBs could drop him to a 6th later.

Read em and weep boys.
I was right......

We aren't going to get shit if we sign Hodges

Jesus.

It takes seconds for CP to find the negative in anything.

Yesterday people assured me Foles did not work into the Chiefs comp pick formula. He does - that is a good thing.

Whoever the hell that guy is.

And if he does in fact count towards any kind of compensatory picks then that's the stupidest loophole to a system that any one could possibly think of and could only be explained as an exception to help the Patriots when they asked for the situation to count. A team can manufacturer draft picks by simply adding on an option year.

I can just see it now... They signed some guy in hopes to keep him around for a few years but stuck an option on it as insurance in case it didn't work out. And then when he sucked they asked Goodell at poker night if they could get compensation for declining the option and Mr. Goodell replied with a "Yes sir, Mr. Kraft. Your wish is my command!"

I actually don't know if Foles has a better deep ball than Smith. I haven't seen one the past couple years that was all that great. All his very deep balls this year during the season and in preseason were underthrown. Where's your evidence in 2017 that he has a great deep ball? I'll wait.

I'd rather have Hoyer and Barkley, cause there's no way in hell the 9ers won't be looking for their QB in this draft.

They are a real wild card in round 1. Do they dare grab their guy at #2? Do they dare not grab their guy at #2? There might not be anyone left by round 2.

I'm assuming you are trolling or don't have a set of eyes....? Coming up with some sort of elaborate case for this and typing it out with my phone just isn't worth my (or anyone's) time. Nick Foles has a stronger arm than Alex Smith. Anyone who has watched a mere couple minutes of Nick Foles highlights from a half-game in comparison to Alex Smith's CAREER highlights can see that. It's seriously not even worth arguing about, it's so stupid. Go feed your troll-baggity face from someone who will bite off it, douchebag.

Good God...Alex Smith has a better long ball than Nick Foles. I've heard it all from you Alexuals.... there are guys who throw prettier looking, longer shot-putts than Smith throws the long ball. Dumbest argument anyone has tried to bait me into.

Oh so you don't have any evidence? Or are you going off 4 years ago in the first year of chip Kelly's offense? Yeah...Amazing what a fluke year can do. What has he done since? Link to all his deep passes?

This is so amusing to me.

I watched quite a bit of Barkley this year. He had some bad moments. However, he also flashed at times... Every one of my Bears fan friends were real down on him every single game, but there were times that it didn't seem like they even watched. He had stretches where he looked pretty decent. I have never, in my life, seen a QB who's supporting cast that has straight up ****ed their QB worse than the Bears supporting cast ****ed Barkley. It was so bad that it appeared as if they were doing it on purpose (although I realize it was likely that they weren't). When he wasn't running for his life, his receivers were dropping EVERYTHING. I remember watching a game, can't remember who it was against, that Cameron Meredith was his WR1 and he (and the rest of the receivers) were dropping everything thrown to them...like, had to have been 10-15 drops in the 2nd half alone. It was bad. Balls that were perfectly placed. It was crazy.

Yeah, you're one of the people that just hears things and runs off with it. Only thing Foles does is throw more deep passes. He's not necessarily more accurate or anything. Hence why he's now been relegated to career back up.
