And this has nothing to do with meaningless accolades, and I have never played Madden.

I also think that Berry is overpaid, and I'm a big fan of Berry.

Oh, I get it... you don't understand that safeties are important. :)

Yup.

This is a big-time coach's pet misstep.

There's no way on earth that Sorenson would've made that much on the open market; nothing even close. We just paid a hometown premium while dealing with a tight cap.

We'll see how much of this is guaranteed but unless there's pretty much zero in GTD money, this is a mistake.

Racist

Cool! Now he can add four or five more wives!

On a completely unrelated noted, does anyone else consistently forget that Denver has a brand new coaching staff? I still haven't gotten use to it.

I'll be interested to see how their defense is without Phillips.

Hopefully what happens to their defense is the same thing that happened to our offense when Herm took over - it completely went to shit.

Bitching for the sake of bitching. It ain't your money, so why the butthurt? Guy knows the system, is loved in the locker room and can ball.

But I get it - he wasn't voted to the PROBOWL and his Madden rankings/stats are just ok.

Dummies.

We could find someone on the scrap heap to contribute at the position like we have every year since Dorsey's been here. Dude's got the Midas touch when it comes to scrap heap safeties.

May be late to the party, but just saw this and am responding. DJ's injury could've led to him being played in the box more, which I agree is beyond his capabilities. If we can find a legit option in the middle, I think we can maximize Sorenson's strengths.

Apparently Dorsey felt otherwise.

If Dorsey's strength is finding a player to fill a void, yet Dorsey decides to extend a player that he previously signed to fill a void, what does that tell you?

I hadn't realized untilt the past couple of weeks upon re-watching just how much dime package Sutton used against Pittsburgh. Basically sat in it all night vs. 3 WRs.

That can't happen against Pittsburgh's OL. Not blaming Sorensen for that gameplannning miscue.

Kept them from scoring a single TD.

Had the offense been able to score 20 FN points, it looks like the right call.
