I've reached an age where I turn on the weather channel in the morning before work. I generally don't have issues with anyone on the show except the vegan blonde chick that constantly says things that make me realize she was trying to sleep her way to the top, but she didn't know the top for her was the weather channel morning show.

But they do exaggerate weather conditions to the point where I know that I need to drop down the intensity level a few notches from what they say.

I'm way past sick of that guy's attention whoring. Yeah, it's a ****ing hurricane; we know it's windy and destructive. But he could stand somewhere we could all here him on the off chance that he says something important.

At this point, every time I see him pulling that crap I hope he gets blasted by a chunk of debris like the guy in 2012.

LMAO

I've never understood why the news insists on being on location for things.. random news guy will be outside a company's HQ, live at 10pm and 5 hours after everyone else has left, then mention the company didn't respond to email requests.

Then you have these idiots who want to stand outside in a hurricane while telling everyone else they should have evacuated days ago.

Looked it up.... Stephanie Abrams. She says stupid shit like purposefully saying "Naw lens" but then when she's talking normal is your typical white girl "New Orleans".

I'm not going to lie. I have an irrational hatred of her.

LMAO I bet I have told that story wrong 100x, yea the Red Sea. The Suez Canal was definitely a trip.

Another good reason I shouldn't have gone in the Navy.

There was a situation this morning on MSNBC (and race baiters like Rex Chumpman jumped on it), while on location in Gulfport, MS some man charged at the reporter and crew. The comments on Twitter were “his horse meds are kicking in.” And “Mississippi is racist, and this further proves it.”

All the while I’m like, while those could be logical explanations, this person also just went through a Cat 3 hurricane, so this guy probably isn’t mentally in the same place as commenters who are 1,000 miles away. This person just went through some crazy ish, and while he needs to be taken into police control (so that this can be sorted out), I need to know what the back story is here. There are houses along the Gulfport area, did the film crew do something to this guy’s property? I’m just not ready to jump to conclusions and condemn this man, but then, that’s probably why I will never make it as a Twitter star.

wunderground has diluted its product and uses free data from people like me for their agenda. I know many weather station owners that are refusing to send anything to WU.

the weather channel is about clicks and drama.

Weather Underground doesn't want user stations anymore it seems like. I used to watch neighborhood stations on the sprayer all the time. Sometimes the wind in the north part of the county is different than the south.

Now, if I don't have the station ID memorized I can't get it. It sucks.

Yeah, Cabelas put a store in Gonzales LA that I had to go audit. I'd never been down there, cool. So these ****s from retail convinced me to go the 35 miles South to New Orleans by telling me they were going to get in to one of Emril's restaurants. I didn't have that kind of money, but I was down. Turns out they didn't and we went to Bourbon Street and I wanted to eat a bullet.

That's not the story, we came in from the North and whatever, I was surprised at how flat it is and how many cows there were. Felt like a more green/tree covered Western Kansas, then we got on a bridge over Lake Pontchartrain. Woah. This is a big lake. Then we went DOWN into New Orleans, and I've seen a map, I know what's on the other side.

Coming from the Great American Desert (according to Steven H Long), it was ****ing terrifying. Even if I wanted to let loose and get drunk, I'm not sure I could. It would always be in my head.

Why don't they make the building codes for the houses to be on stilts?

All the houses on Florida's east coast are required to be raised. They are quite strict.
