It’s great that we finally won a SB in our lifetimes. I must admit that I think about whether it will be Mahomes only one like Rodgers and Brees. For all his greatness he can’t do it alone and now the AFC is loaded. Right after we won I thought for sure Mahomes was destined to have a handful of rings when it was all said and done. Just goes to show how difficult it is to not only to win a SB but to even get back to one.

And then there’s the fact that losing doesn’t piss me off as much anymore. It’s only football.

Not necessarily the super bowl. The fact that the Chiefs are perennial afc championship contenders, let alone making the playoffs, I just don't get worked up over regular season games.

Nah, was being a bit facetious. In my 50s, and Mahomes could be the Chiefs QB for the next 20 years. Probably not; I don't expect him to play more than about 16 years total. But he might. And who knows? I might be through watching football when that happens. Anything is possible.

Yeah, I've decided to take a break from the GDTs because I get all worked up by the insanity. It's more fun for me to just enjoy the game and ignore all that until afterwards.

If you just read it in real time it's a blast. Better than the game itself.

I've always wanted to see the Chiefs win a Superbowl and it happened and it feels good. So ya it changed my outlook

While true, playing in back to back SB’s in the opposing teams stadium is not something I was looking forward to. We would have got jobbed again, because the league had to have the Lombardi going to the very expensive new stadium in LA.

Also noticed that Carl ****ing Cheffers was the ref for not only Brady’s TB SB, but also the Falcons/Brady’s SB. That guy should never be allowed to ref in a SB ever again.

Yes.

I don't get near as pissed during games as I used to.

That is probably because I know this team will have a shot at the SB every year for the next 10.

Yes. I waited 50 years to watch them win a second one. During that time I realized I may never see another one so when they did I was thrilled.

I still get worked up during games but I can drop it very easily after a loss.

The real games are in the post season, and since we know the Chiefs will be perennial post season contenders, it really takes the bite out of regular season losses.

Yesterday's loss barely bothered me at all. Felt more like a "Friendly" for their inevitable tilt in the playoffs.

If they play pretty well and don't get totally ****ed on game deciding penalties, I'm past it pretty quick. That Colt's loss had me pissed all day because they played terribly and still had a chance that mean words ****ed them out of.

SB helped in some fashion, yet my expectations are higher. Torn.

Oh, for sure.

I really don't think football will ever quite mean the exact same as it did before.

That said, I find myself still getting pretty upset in the heat of the moment when it's dumb mental errors that cost us games. But I recover from all of these much, much faster.

This.

When you have guys that have been doing this for two decades, and still they cannot draw on their many MANY times of seeing this exact same situation, they go and step on their dick again.

Like, if you're a younger guy, sure. But Red and Steve been doing this shit for a long time.

Draw on your experiences. Use it. You'd think with some of these things they'd never seen this situation before in their careers.

I'm content to watch Patrick Mahomes do his thing on Sundays. Chiefs football for the next 15 years is never going to be dull with 15 on the field.

I saw em win it all, so that's off the bucket list. Anything more is just gravy.

When the Chiefs won the SB it was almost more relief than anything. I feared that while the dream was met, my love and pure obsession would lower because they had won it all. The journey was complete.

In some ways that's true. The journey is after all more enjoyable than the destination. But a funny thing has happened. Now that many don't like us and many like to claim Mahomes can't do it, I have regained that level of intensity(in the playoffs anyway. Regular season as some mentioned isn't as important).

We aren't as successful as the Patriots obviously and some may roast me for it but in some ways I kind of understand how Patriot fans became the way they were in the **** it attitude.
