Its not just the AFC though. The whole NFL is pretty weak minus a few teams.

NFCS has a 3 way tie for the lead at 6-7. Only one team in the NFCW has a winning record. Only 2 team in the NFCN have a winning record.

Only 5 teams in the AFC have a losing record. Really the NFC is dogshit outside of Dallas, Philly and the 49ers.
