I left that game with 5 minutes to go in the fourth quarter. Learned my lesson.

Never again

I left this game early about twenty years ago now. Have never done it at a baseball game ever again.

Edit: Also, the 2003 Royals were 17-5 in April?

Yeah if you get stung once by leaving early, it teaches you a lesson. Never know what you could miss.

Yeah that was like the one light through the clouds in the 2000's years. Didn't last though.

Yup.

I left this game after the 8th. Painful.

That's cool

I have one minor complaint about the game, and it's not really about the game, as much as it is to the recent rule change about intentional walks. I think the pitcher should still have to throw the balls to the catcher on an IBB. With BWJ at third, who knows if one gets away from the catcher, and BWJ scores on a wild pitch. Just putting it out there...

Man, I’ve seen the highlights from that game a thousand time.

The announcers were hilarious.

They'd never admit to it, and being in the first quarter helps stave off a leaving early, but I wonder if anyone melted down and left Texans/Chiefs early?

They are definitely a part of making it so memorable. I remember getting to the party we were going to and people freaking out about the game. My buddies who I had gone to and subsequently, left the game with, and I thought for sure they were messing with us until we watched the local news. Thankfully, I went to Plano not Plano East (we had gone to support the PE quarterback who was a friendly acquaintance and close with some of my good friends) so it didn't sting as much, but man, how brutal to lose like that.

That was awesome.

Let’s get some carry over to tomorrow!!

I was there and it didn't feel like anybody did. Somebody was bitching about Mahomes beside me very briefly though.
