You are going to be disappointed to find that you don’t get to enjoy people peering through the gaps at you or admiring your stylish underwear.

Airport threads are some of the best. It's like reading through a bunch of online reviews.... people absolutely love it, people despise it, people have no clue what they're even reviewing, someone who's been there once loudly wants everyone to know [i]never again![i], people shout at the most random clouds.

And at the end of the day, 99% of the time if you show up an hour in advance, you'll get on the plane.

This is where I'm at. I'm removed from the controversy. All I remembered about KC were that those small security lines were worth more than the yuppie eateries and outdated booshie flair. Seemed like KC had the right idea but we live in a society of superficial redditors so they had to tear it down and build out something that eventually always leads to this...

I used to fly every week for work. I preferred the old airport and the easy arrival and departures

Like the people who complained about the old airport which is what made them make this expensive piece of shit? :hmmm:

I know the TSA didn't like the old design, they were required to have too many checkpoints throughout the three terminals, and the lines were too convenient for their liking.

That said, I have TSA Precheck, Clear, and (for my return) global entry, so often times I do get to skip a lot of the hassle many people have to endure. All are well worth the money IMO.

I'm just waiting for any of the "great things the new terminal will enable" to happen.

I'm with you, from 2000 - 2013 I was out of town for two to three weeks a month, and the old MCI was a dream... But now I get to walk buy restaurants that pretty-much aren't open when travelers need/want them to be.

The temperature at the airport is 67 degrees…..which I think is really stupid, man… because I can’t think of anybody that lives at the airport.

Never waited more than 10 minutes in TSA line. Food was pretty good. I always park off site and the shuttle picks us up and straight to the car.

If you're doing the route of the TSA without the Pre-check, that would make most sense. If you want less of a hassle, go get the TSA Pre-check.

That'll save you a lot of trouble.

Agreed. I much prefer to fly into Love Field.
