Mine too, Henry.

Still young at heart even though I'm old, fat and bald...

htismaqe 08-23-2000 11:15 PM

Pam,

What era of American History do you teach?

This is a pet hobby/interest of mine and I am very curious to know what aspects are being taught our children when.

BTW, what is your favorite period?

Luz
wow, someone else that likes history!...

gh4chiefs 08-23-2000 11:15 PM

Thank you, Flowergirl! I felt it my duty to follow you guys here. I can help ease your suffering when Gruden makes a second victory lap around Arrowhead this year.....

Luz:

You like American History.....who said the following about whom?

"Yes the president should resign. He has lied to the American People, time and time again, and betrayed their trust. He is no longer an effective leader. Since he has admitted guilt there is no reason to put the American people through an impeachment, He will serve absolutely no purpose i finishing out his term;the only possible solution is for the president to save some sort of dignity and resign."

Yosef_Malkovitch 08-24-2000 10:46 AM

I think that was Clinton on Nixon in the 70's....

htismaqe 08-24-2000 10:48 AM

Mark,

It could be any number of people, including Joe Leiberman talking about Clinton.

I also seem to remember Senetor Gore saying something similar about Nixon.

Luz
am i close?...

DaKCMan AP 08-24-2000 10:48 AM

I think Phobia is the winner...

htismaqe 08-24-2000 10:49 AM

Ditto,

KPhobia has got the right of it.

Luz

Lurker Brett 08-24-2000 10:50 AM

My vote was Lieberman on Clinton.

The 8th graders get the prehistory to civil war stuff, and the 10th graders get a brief overview (about 1 week) and then they start with Civil War and I try to make it out of the 60's but if things were perfect, we would cover till 2000.

I really like World War I
World War II and the 50's and 60's but I also like the prohibition days as well.

And yes, it was a young Clinton about Nixon.

redshirt32 08-24-2000 01:31 PM

Kphobia gets the prize....

You get a two week vacation following Clint around as he makes the whirlwind tour of all the NOW meetings as he addresses the members on the finer points of

1)Laundry Detergents-pros & cons of cold water washing

2)Barefoot & Pregnant-so what's wrong with being the "little ol' lady at home"

3)Various other topics relating to women and their place in the world.

LOL Mark - If I'd known that was going to be the prize I would've answered the question!!

redshirt32 08-24-2000 01:39 PM

Shannon:

We were going to award a 2nd place prize, but we had to spend the rest of the prize money on a security force to protect all involved.
