Mizzou wins 38-25.

Let them come back a bit, but nothing like last week.

Basileus777 09-08-2007 07:24 PM

South Carolina wins.

Better hope that trend doesn't continue into Big 12 season, could be a long year if it does.

Mecca 09-08-2007 07:26 PM

Georgia should be ashamed of that loss....I know it's Spurrier but that's just sad.

Heh. I had a hunch that South Carolina was somehow gonna pull it off.

Now if TCU can hang on, my upset specials for today is 2/2.

Michigan plays ND next week, that sure is a stinker of a game.

I sure hope the TV people won't be showing the game. That'd be very offensive to watch.

Of course, it'll be fun to see if they ended up with a 0-0 tie. That'd demonstrate how inept both teams are.

They'll show it remember ND has a contract with NBC.

Well, wouldn't hurt NBC to pull it out. I doubt it'd be any interest to anybody.

Either way, you're right, that I know.

I never understood how VT was ranked in the top 10. They have a good defense, but their offense has way too many question marks.

Coach 09-08-2007 07:35 PM

Blocked punt for K-State. K-State in good field position now.

the Talking Can 09-08-2007 07:37 PM

Michigan will destroy ND. Though they suck, they have talent on offense.

Running the ball, I can see that. But passing? There isn't any talent there, last I saw.

Michigan needs to get back to their roots, and that is running the ball like crazy.

Mecca 09-08-2007 07:38 PM

VT is going to get completely destroyed in the game, I can feel it coming already.

Which other guy you're referring to? ND's QB or Michigan's back-up?

Downside is that SC had the day off, and more than likely they'll have at least 2 weeks in preperation against Nebraska.

1. Wake Forest played in the Fiesta Bowl last season. Nobody thought this game would be a pushover for Nebraska.

2. Wake likes to run the misdirection and their backup QB is a scrambler. The misdirection is awfully hard to defend.

3. Sam Keller hasn't played in a year and a half.

4. Good teams win close games. A win on the road against a good team is nice to matter what. I'm not sure last year's Husker team would've won today.

3. Pac 10

I can see Louisville-WVU-Rutgers round-robin beating each other with USF or Pitt handing an upset or two. But they have some pretty solid teams along with the 3 at the top.

Ah, Louisville, I keep forgetting about them. Well, we can argue all day between 2-4, but I can 100% agree that the SEC is, as of right now, the best conference in college football.

Since Skip is here, now's a perfect time to mention Tim Tebow's statline for the day:

18/25 236yds and 3TDs passing to go along with 17 rushes for 93yds and 2TDs

The game was 49-7 at halftime :D

I'll agree to that, although some disillusioned people ::cough::mecca::cough:: will dispute that, even.

What Levitt has done at USF is remarkable. Wonder what it would have been if he went back to Manhattan instead of Ron Prince.

Basileus777 09-08-2007 09:31 PM

I would rank the conferences (this year):

1) SEC
2) Pac-10
3) Big East
4) Big 12
5) Big 10

6) ACC

The ACC is just embarrassingly bad. The best team from the conference is probably Boston College. BU is pretty good but would be a middle of the pack team in every other BCS conference. The ACC is the only BCS conference yet to win a game vs a team from another BCS conference (0-3).

I can agree with that, except switch Big East and Big XII. As I said to DaKCMan, anybody can make good arguments between 2-4.

DaKCMan AP 09-08-2007 09:36 PM

After review, TD VT

VT 7
LSU 27

DaKCMan AP 09-08-2007 09:41 PM

INT USF, they take over at Auburn's 20

DaKCMan AP 09-08-2007 09:43 PM

Groethe takes a TERRIBLE sack, all the way back from the 15 to the 27 or so and USF will try another FG

and miss....badly

Basileus777 09-08-2007 09:43 PM

This USF playcalling is just making me go "wtf". Just horrible.

DaKCMan AP 09-08-2007 09:43 PM

On the very next play Auburn fumbles and USF gets it back... unbelievable.

Coach 09-08-2007 09:43 PM

BWAHAHAHAHA.

FUMBLE by Auburn! USF Recovers!

Coach 09-08-2007 09:44 PM

And USF needs to recruit a "accurate" kicker.

Basileus777 09-08-2007 09:44 PM

Another TO by Auburn. Crazy. USF better finally take advantage of one of these.

Coach 09-08-2007 09:45 PM

God, a sack again.....
