That is so awesome.

I can't believe old Larry showed up. I ran into him literally on the street once in Charlotte and he couldn't have been a nicer, chill dude.

I'll probably get laughed at, but I have a weird feeling in my gut that this is the moment when Withey's potential comes through.

TRob will be one of the best players in college basketball this season. Sullinger and him will battle in December.

Pierce and Chalmers, both still clutch.

So I hear there's a football game next weekend in Lawrence.
|
It's gonna be bad when Hawks Basketball has a lower ppg average given up than the football team.

So...it looks like McLemore and Traylor aren't going to be eligible this year? First I've heard of this possibility.
"KU coach Bill Self implied at Thursday’s media day that an announcement may be coming soon indicating the two would not be cleared to play this season — “We still have hope, but we’re not holding our breath on that situation at all,” he said." http://www2.kusports.com/news/2011/o...decided-headi/ |

it could be a rough year. 7 deep the whole season, and one of those is TRob who has trouble staying on the court with foul trouble. Self will have to pull something out of his ass.

Damn.
Didn't need this... |
We will be fine, i fully expect last years bench to step it up, from the grapevine, t-rob isnt the same player, and i have faith in tyshawn and elijah
|
I don't get the panic. We are still the B12 favorites with an incredibly good starting lineup. The only difference is that we don't have nearly as much depth as in past years, but that shouldn't be a huge problem in getting this team where it wants to go. Still look to be in a better position than the 2008-2009 team and that group did more than fine.
Yeah, we aren't going to be a NC favorite this time, but it's not like that's helped us in the past few years. |

Also, looking at that schedule, we shouldn't panic if we lose games early. That non-conf. is probably the toughest in the country. |

Elijah Jonson has the chance to be a very good darkhorse breakout player. Guy is SUPER athletic around the perimeter.
|
tyshawn with 17 and relly with 16, i like this team from what i saw, its just scrimmage though

As long as EJ, TT, Releford, and TRob are on the court, this team will do well. Withey's development will be interesting to watch.

Tyshawn looked great and healthy, making all good shots, not being stupid. he also made 3's EJ and Releford were both nails on the perimeter Withey looked improved from last year, but hes in between last year and where he should be IMO Tharpe had flashes, no points, but he looked like he knew what he was doing. actually 'meh' other than Trob,Tyshawn,EJ,rele but its just late night |

Self deserves COTY if he's able to pull out another conference championship, this will be the least deep Kansas team in quite some time.

Occupy Wall Street In Denver Devolves Into One-Man Kansas Jayhawks Rally Sorry to say, but with both Morrises and Josh Selby off to join the ranks of the 1 percent, OWS's goal of a total overhaul of the American economic system is closer to reality than another deep tournament run for the Jayhawks. <iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/oaohFnBHtkk" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> |

When will Chalmers get his jersey hung in Allen?
How many years does he have to wait after the MOP and the NC? |

Anyone have any info on Dillon Graham? Apparently he passed on a scholarship from Kansas, Louisville, K-State, Maryland, Miami, Florida State, and others to walk-on at Florida.

#kubball guards Tyshawn Taylor and Elijah Johnson to miss Kansas' 1st two exhibition games for violating offseason rules. |
Quote:
“Tyshawn and Elijah have both been terrific since school began in August,” Self said. “They’ve not only performed well, they have been very responsible and disciplined the first few months of the school year. But during the offseason they violated a rule that I told them, because of some past experiences, their punishment was going to be severe and I was going to hold them out of the two exhibition games. They have been aware of this for several months and also are disappointed, but have had very positive attitudes about it.” |
Quote:
Obviously it wasn't that big of a violation. Grades? |

Yeah, exhibition games against awful opponents don't mean much anyway (although I hope Releford is good enough to win them by himself now, we don't need trolls in this thread after an embarrassing preseason loss). Wish Self had just disciplined them by running sprints or something, though.
