Kyle's up.
|
thank god someone fixed my dilemna regarding kirkpatrick. I didn't want to draft him cause I need starters this season (my team sucks) and I don't really need a CB... But it would be hard to pass on a guy with that talent in the third round hoping he pans out.
|
There are about five guys that I really want right now. The talent is deeper than I thought.

BALL BUSTERS! TRADE ME, DAMMIT!
|
lol...and Ball busters get their 5th QB on the roster.
|
ouch...
|
All he had to do was set his draft board up and lock it in, not very hard lol

Imma give Clay about three minutes to let me know if he wants this pick or not and if I hear nothing I'll turn in the card.........I'm not opposed to moving back though. No one player is going to help this fricking mess
|
Hang on.
|
Trade proposed.
|
I think the draft pick list is up and correct now in the OP.

GOD DAMNIT
I hit reject trade and it accepted it instead....WTH? |
that's some bullshit
I lose that trade in a huge way |
Approved your counter offer.
|
That's odd. If you really rejected it, can Brandon Albert's Huge Balls just make your pick for you and we'll sort it out manually? It's probably his call to reverse it, but it seems reasonable.
Not sure how that would have happened, but I'll let cdcox know. |
I wouldn't have thought it would LET you approve that one, since I didn't OWN the #57 anymore.
Are you OK with it? I don't want you getting screwed over it. |

I don't think the counter is going to go through. He may have clicked 'accept', but it's not showing in sandbox.
|
And boom.
|
Oh, that's weird. Just tell me who you want at 116 and we can sort it out later Old Dog.

So can someone summarize the situation? Are we good or did something blow up? I haven't been watching.
Nice Givens pick, by the way. |
And of course he took my guy. Well played, Clay.
|
damnit Denver. I guess I'll be ok with my team total of 30 receptions on the season. :P
|
Well shit I didn't have enough people on my board. Should have traded when I had a chance

Clay offered a future 2 for pick #57
I countered adding #116 to it.......I checked the block to approve the counter offer and hit the grey rectangle "delete" button on the original and it went away, but it approved it rather than rejecting it. He then accepted the counter which was no longer valid. I posted here that I was counter-offering in post #575 of this thread |

I'd have probably sent him 120, but probably not 96. Hard to say - Clay beat me to the punch. Like I said, nicely done Clay. I flat out got outmaneuvered. But in my defense, it was largely because I was making that pretty draft breakdown in the OP while all that shit was going on. A victim of administrative duties... |
I almost took a lineman (who I'm guessing goes in the next 10 picks), but the value there was too good to pass up.
|
how bad is taking a kicker with the 81st pick if the kicker was Blair Walsh? I didn't have a kicker on the roster i inherited.
|

I think it's better than normally taking a kicker that high because you know he's going to pan out.
In fact I was gonna take him at 57 if he had been there. |
not as big of a reach as it was in this league, but in a 24 team league you could find a kicker in free agency....he went #43 over here
|
Clay.....stupid idea to fix that
my 7th for your 7th and 116....then trade 7ths back? And I realize that you have every right to say, "**** you...it's done", it is what it is. |
Yeah let's do that.
|
Question for cdcox or Rain Man:
Does the software account for kicker accuracy by distance, or just overall accuracy? |
I have Adrian Peterson and Reggie bush, my rushing attack will probably be the best in the league. My QB right now is Jake Locker I figured going with a kicker as good as him would be the best thing for me. Especially with no kicker on the team.
|
again we are stuck staring at the knuckledraggers
|
done....of course now anyone not monitoring this thread is screaming, "COLLUSION DAMNIT....look at those two teams and tell me why all of the decent players are on one team and now that he's stacked he's giving away picks......this is BULLSHIT"

Zeke, if you're reading this, do me a favor. Turn off autopick and pick your draft choices from the left column. (Move them off your draft board and pick from the left.)
We had a problem last night when someone had two consecutive picks, and while I think we've fixed it let's play it safe since I don't see cdcox hanging around. |

I'm more interested to see what Pat does with the picks I traded away in L2....here for a few more minutes
|
Zeke's here all morning and when his turn comes, he vanishes.
See - I told you all that we hate him. |
anyone with a pick coming up want to swap with pick 74 with a future 3rd rounder?
|
I sure hope both of Dallas' picks happen at once instead of making us wait another hour.

And tick...tick...tick.

Thats basically all we've been doing in league 2

Don't sleep on them Knob Hills...

Ugh. Draft board organization fail. Added Menzie to take a late round flier on and I guess I didn't move him down.

Gunther has him now, though. Rip those sleeves off his shirt and you might have a player. |

Not a good pick, sir. Not a good pick at all. |

I'm thrilled to get Courtney Upshaw at this point. I think he's good value and he fills a need.

Showed some real nice ability in the run game and frankly, I think his college pedigree suggests he has a lot to offer as a pass-rusher as well. I'm full-up on LBs at this point, but I'd have damn near had to take him had he kept falling; great value pick. |
I also like that Vick Ballard pick. Not a ton of upside, IMO, but a good steady runner. He was 3 on my board at this point.

Ok - so I need some help because Im unsure if my picks have been horrendous or not - and I need some feedback to see if I'm drafting using the correct parameters as how the season will play out stat wise.
I will let you know Im not drafting BPA - completely drafting based on needs. @15 - Zach Brown - OLB While I have Derrick Johnson as my ILB, I really don't have much in my LB core. Manny Lawson is the only OLB worth mentioning on my roster. Stat Line - 16 games, 5.5 sacks, 3 Ints (2 for TD's), 2 FR and 68 Tackles. If Im honest, the reason I went with this guy was his TD's on Defense. Will that stat be accounted for? Lavonte David was pick 16 - did I make the right choice? @39 Tavon Wilson - SS / CB No SS on the roster - Almost took Barron @ 15 but I thought he was off the board when I made pick 15 (i didnt put him back on my draft board). Stats - 16 games, 4 Ints, 2 FR, 25 tackles @63 Josh Robinson - CB / WLB I dont have a CB2 (If you can call Sheldon Brown a CB1), and this is also depth at my LB position if I can find DB's in Free Agency Stats - 16 games, 2 Ints, 49 tkls Kick Return Avg 20.3 I dont know - I feel like im failing at this - But I dont know how else I could have gone and felt good with. I feel my offense is decent (especially with Charles as my HB). But my defense is cheese - with holes everywhere. My best player on d is FS Dashon Goldson. |

Barron @ 15 and Upshaw @ 39 if I could do it all over again. |

Zach brown is a very good lb but between him and Lavonte David, I probably would have gone with David. Not bad picks at all.

I would have taken David hands down. |
