I remember when our ace cueto did this.

KevB 10-11-2015 04:36 PM

Went away that entire at bat, Cain never adjusted

bsroyals54 10-11-2015 04:36 PM

Hes thrown about 90 balls and 32 strikes, we just cannot trust the ump or lay off garbage at the same time.

A) Why is Gore/Dyson not pinch running for Rios after he miraculously walked and actually gave the team a chance?
B) Why is Escobar pretending to bunt instead of having Dyson/Gore steal and then try to move a guy over?
C) WHY IN THE ****ING HOLY ****ING **** IS ZOBRIST BUNTING?

ChiTown 10-11-2015 04:36 PM

Zobrist bunting has to be THE WTF moment of out ALDS thus far. That is monkey **** stupid

KCCHIEFS27 10-11-2015 04:37 PM

We're down 2 runs. Zobrist tried a bunt, but didn't get it down the third base line. Otherwise, we're sitting pretty. As it its, if we stay down 2 with the 8th inning coming up then I still feel confident.

Rudy tossed tigger's salad 10-11-2015 04:37 PM

Zobrist bunting was the most Christian thing ever. Great sacrifice. Jesus died for our sins, and then Zobrist bunted.

Don Corlemahomes 10-11-2015 04:37 PM

If you pinch run Dyson for Rios, Keuchel would be thinking about the runner the whole damn time. Not saying we would've scored, but it would have helped.

No, that belongs to the battery of Volquez and Perez. They should have thrown something other than a changeup to Castro.

mr. tegu 10-11-2015 04:39 PM

I don't care how good he is. He wasn't particularly great today and we got embarrassed. Absolutely pathetic showing.

Zobrist bunts

That's what I was wondering. Why is Duffy on the mound against a right-handed power hitter in a little league stadium?

Ned was disgusted with the pitch call just as much as I was. You can easily get Carter out...move to a lefty in Castro, then bring in the righty. Not Ned's fault at all.

ROFL Naw, I'll save that for if the Royals come back and win this game or series.

mr. tegu 10-11-2015 04:44 PM

So we have like six or seven extra base hits this series. Have any been with runners on base?

tk13 10-11-2015 04:44 PM

Of course, if we can force game 5 Keuchel will probably pitch the last 2 innings to win it.

Thought they didn't do too bad, actually... as mentioned, Moose's double was like the 7th extra base hit against Dallas this season and Cain's HR was a rare one, too... and they worked him. Lefties came up at the wrong time... I hear he's pretty good against them.

Everyone here has been saying this game was a loss for the past week, no chance against this guy... it was a pretty intense game for a while, hard to say they were absolutely pathetic.

You can look reeruned when your hitters hit the long ball and you have Dallas Keuchel on the mound

Mainly the situational hitting. 0 for 7 with RISP. They are 2 for 5. Also, as the broadcast mentioned Keuchel is one of the worst in the league (among starters I think they said) with giving up a .280 average with RISP.

Yep. He really sucked this year except for the last few weeks of the season. His BA was below .200 ALL season. Then, hit like .600 down the stretch. Go figure.

When you have runners in scoring position 4 straight innings and don't score a single run, it's pretty pathetic. Gordon, Hosmer, Zobrist and Cain ddidn'tcome through. Those are your horses, I don't care how good Kueckel is.

Good point... I still say this series goes 5, but its MUCH easier to play .500 ball than .1000.

Yep. They've roughed him up before. He's not invincible.
