Go Cubs Go!
I'm happy now.
I just wanted to see a nice run in the playoffs this year because I dont see the WS being anything other than the Dodgers vs Astros. |
Dusty Baker is a curse
One of the best baseball games I've seen in a long time!
Davis still part Borg I see

They gutted that out. Pretty much burned up this team like it was the World Series to do it.
Thank god the Royals traded Wade Davis for that power hitting AAA Soler loser.

Davis should strongly consider sending Jose a Christmas gift, though. |
They had to bring up that we traded Wade Davis for a steaming pile of shit. Thanks.

3rd time a pitcher has gotten a 7 out save in a winner take all playoff game. The other two were Bumgarner and Vida Blue in the 70s.

If I'm being objective, I think Game 6 of 2011 edges out the WC by virtue of it being a WS game (plus the Cards were down to their last strike twice and facing elimination). The Royals WC game is certainly one of the greatest ever, though. |

Now if that was just a contract year performance, it's a different story. |
A lot of defense sloppiness by the Nats that did them in.
Werth misses that fly ball. That allowed a run to score. Seriously, how can you miss that (my guess, his eyes got caught in the lights)? Wieters chucking that passed ball to first despite getting hit in the mask, which allowed a run to score, I believe. Wieters was awful behind the plate. That's two runs there. |

Some reporter asked Harper in the locker room if he had any thoughts on the Cubs-Dodgers series. ROFL
Washington would have been better off getting an expansion team, they will never win anything having the Expos history, its as snake bit as it gets.

Wade Davis went 2.1 innings. Holy shit! That's lineup Quisenberry and Rollie Fingers era length
Both pitchers are dealing.
**** yeah
That park is so ****ing ridiculous.... here's a single to left field, aka deep short...
Finally made it to sit down tonight and can watch some baseball.
I like good pitching matchups. |
Keuchel's only at 108, send him back out there!

Smoltz channeling Hudler
Might as well just put Altuve on first and reduce the pitch count.
I hate the ****ing yankme's.
You see that, Yanks? There's no need to sign Eric Hosmer.
That was a Brett vs Gossage-level blast
Bird looks good. They don't need Hosmer.
Really though, this whole stretching your pitching staff way out beyond their normal limits seems to always be a shaky proposition. Giles will probably get it done but it'll take over 35 pitches. |
Yea! New York losing is good for the planet!
Giles slider is unhittable
Giles looks like Jason Statham.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...3561731b14.jpg
That short LF in Houston is so ... slow pitch. Gonzales made a great play to nail Bird at the plate, but it was like he threw from 50 feet beyond SS.
I feel like reliever usage is starting to swing too far the other way... Too reliant on stretching guys out past normal workload. Not everyone is Andrew Miller.
Also wonder how long it will be before starters stop being used for middle innings. Bad track record this postseason. |

That's a pretty major deal. Must be in real bad shape to not even chance leaving him on the roster to play in later games.

Bird is a mainstay if he can stay healthy. The Yanks don’t need hosmer. They have a shit load more of talent coming up from the minors next year. This is just the beginning |
Quote:
I thought Bird got a decent jump, but LF there can be played like LF in Boston. As a baserunner be prepared to play station to station on balls hit to LF. As an OF'er, play shallow because just about everything over your head will be a HR or hit high off the wall. |
Flawless execution by the Stros

Yankees about to have a Jeffrey Maier moment against them.
Todd Frazier gets one stuck in the fence. There's a new one.
Ball stuck in the fencing in this stupid ****ing park.
How did that kid not get nailed for interference on Correas HR? His glove was over the wall. It looked to me like if the glove had not been there it would have hit the top of the wall and stayed in the park.

Verlander on fire!

This is a great playoff game.
Currently, I'm watching on my patio while a storm brews over the top of me. |
At 109 pitches, Verlander starts the 9th?
Verlander is dealing!
Holy shit that was a terrible send... and it worked.
Altuve should have been out by a mile. Lol at Sanchez
FANTASTIC
Yankees lose. Thu uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh Yankees lose. **** you Yankme's and your gay ass announcer.
I wonder if Buster Posey would've ...
Sanchez sucks so bad. So glad we have the best in Salvy
Cubs strike first.
Playoff Kershaw sucks
I know this ump has been favorable to the outside corner but ****ing shit Contreras call for something inside every now and then.
Cubs bullpen comes in and immediately blows the lead. Maddon may have to go to Wade for 4 innings a game in this series.
Quote:
Don't agree with taking Quintana out with 80 something pitches. I don't know what it takes for Contreras to call for something in after 7 and 8 pitch ABs and literally everything on the outside edge. |
I mean the tie, whatever.
Bellinger has an oddly long torso.
Safe but I'd sure like to know where the pitch was.
Yeah, that's pretty smart to throw a fastball right near at the heart of the plate against Puig.
