ChiefsPlanet - Food and Drink Any Bourbon drinkers out there?

I just started bourbon like 6 months ago (friend got me in to it) I would start with Buffalo Trace. One of the best cheap ones around. They are impossible to find out here in PA.

Drink that bottle and get used to the taste. Try it neat and then with ice. Huge difference. My favorite is angles envy but I am currently doing Elijah Craig which I like.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...2624216149.jpg

I like Baker's Bourbon. Though, I like to drink Negroni, nowadays.

While watching preseason I've been dipping into a bottle of Russel's Reserve 10 yr I bought last night and it's pretty solid for $30 price point and can actually find it.

To me, Woodford is bourbon that folks like when they want "smooth". It's just not for me. I like my bourbon to have some fire to it and Woodford typically has a lot less character and complexity than even a lot of my favorite cheap bourbons.

When it comes to bourbon, start with Evan Williams white label. If you like it, move on from there.

Having some Jefferson's "Very Small Batch" tonight.

They buy other bourbons and blend them. For $24 its pretty solid.

Blantons continues to be my favorite and benchmark for non cask strength. I’m rationing the hell out of what I have and wondering if anyone has a suggestion for a substitute that you can actually buy?
