Isn't it just way too competitive for a soft taupe elevator music kind of atmosphere? In a room where you're secretly hoping the guy above you will twist a knee or come down with a case of syphillis? They're better off with don't ask don't tell being an emotional doctrine. Come together on the field and carve out the brotherhood there.

And I realize I'm twisted but my daughters have always been told to shake it off.

I should have added "don't pick up the phone the next time she calls because that's the most expensive call you will ever take" to protect the 1st timers. :)

The National Football Post, citing two sources, reported that Incognito expected the linemen to attend. If they failed to show up, Incognito would fine them in the club's kangaroo court and mock them for not being part of the group, one of the sources said.

"Richie wanted to set up Richie's world as a way for everybody to act," a team source told the National Football Post. "Richie thinks everybody should act that way. He doesn't get that some guys aren't into that behavior. Some guys don't want to constantly explain to their wife or girlfriend why they have to go to a strip club.

Good. God.

First, they put a known asshole on the "leadership council" ie; some kind of team captain... then, they approve of mandatory meetings at a ****ing strip club.

I don't want to hear about the NFL he-man party culture that says that's acceptable, either.

Man, what a mess down there...

Joe Philbin defended Incognito as a "model citizen." What does that say about the citizenry?

Yep, the consensus worst cheap shot artist and teammate fighting asshole in the business is just a super swell guy, we here at the dolphins want all of our players to emulate him.

Apparently, they are all up to their eyeballs in taking part in this bullying scandal - The Dolphins’ hierarchy and the players who are on record trying to place the blame onto the victim - Aided and abetted by the Miami Herald.

I have heard that only 10-20 percent of what is known has been made public so far.

We shall see…

Its disgusting, plain and simple.

I've come around to the idea that Martin may have emotional problems and maybe didn't identify himself as some alpha male type who can take any abuse that's heaped on him in the name of being a tough football player... maybe he ISNT cut out for the high pressure NFL.

But none of that excuses miamis actions, they've compounded their mistakes tenfold with the way they're handling things, they just have a shit team culture down there, and placing Incognito in charge of ANYTHING proves it.

It'd be interesting to hear John Dorseys take on Philbin, did he know this guy was so ****ing stupid and tone deaf in Green Bay?

The smaller the town, the more likely they may be to be "backward." Miami should have knocked that out of Philbin.

If that is the case he can retire right now. I am interested in hearing more about the physical attacks. If as a group they were carrying out things like that this really is as messed up as it gets. I am sure the payout for Jonathan will be welll worth the price of admission if that is the case.

A rather pointed commentary on race in the locker room:

Quote:

I texted several black current and former NFL players I know, and asked them, what would you do? The reaction was unanimous: I can’t even imagine it happening. I texted with two veteran coaches who said they had never seen such a thing in the NFL.

“If you’re from the hood and you grew up with black guys, then you can get away with saying it as a term of endearment,” Ayanbadejo says. “You can say, ‘my ****a.’ ”

Yet the idea that a white player would actually call somebody a ****er in anger or jest was utterly unfathomable.

“That wouldn’t fly,” Ayanbadejo said.

Philbin is a phenomenal coach. Like many coordinators, he was WAY out of his league when he went beyond X's and O's and had to start coaching men.
