LOL, in the next-to-last shot the potato is going

My son cracks me up. He's on a liquid diet and THAT'S what he sees....

The beef/apple braised stew came out pretty tasty. It's not very attractive, so no pics. The apple cider being the main liquid mixed with the meat juice and it was kind of a pale stew color. But the flavor was good. Surprisingly, the apple flavor was very subtle, as was the sweetness. Overall, would do again.

OK, I gotta ask, are my pics showing?

I see them in Tapatalk in my phone, but not when I use IE, Opera, or Firefox. So I'm wondering if they're not posting, or if the ****ing corporate security doing their bullshit....

They're visible.

Stupid question: do you lose any of the "grilled" flavor by using a skillet instead of having the meat directly on the grill?

Treat tonight. I've been jonesing for some meatloaf, and it happened to be the special at my BIL's restaurant today. He brought home POUNDS of it and they actually did a great job on it. Treat!

A) Not stupid, B) I don't think so.

It's a great question actually, but I don't think I so. But I also think the oil in the pan makes it fried, temperature aside it's apples to oranges actually. And with me seasoning the oil with fresh rosemary, that flavor comes through wonderfully, and it's not a flavor I'm willing to give up anymore.

For those of you when have smoked-up you house too many times, and you have a side burner, this is a must try/perfect.... With the infrared, I had a grate temperature every bit of 600-degrees and more. That's key...

I'll get this right, mark my word, I'll get it right!

Italian pork tenderloin. I've posted pics in the past.

I always use pineapple when I cook ham. Use the rings, some cherries and stud it with cloves. Love how it mixes with the ham juices and fats later.

It's KC Tex-Mex tonight.

Organic tortillas and lean ground turkey to start. Home-grown tomatoes, onions and lettuce that's mixed in with local Farmer's Market cheese and jalapenos.

I've got fresh veggies, chicken breast, pasta, soups and broths, and seasoning. I'd like to try something new. I make Alfredo from scratch frequently and would like to try something new. Anyone got any great recipes? I'll include pictures!

Mennonite 09-16-2014 05:36 PM

I made some simple chicken stir fry and rice. Had a little garlic bread on the side. I added a little too much chipotle. A bit warm. I ate too much.

Fire Me Boy! 09-16-2014 05:37 PM

No pics? You do not seem nice.

I was taken out to dinner, just to the Olive Garden.

Had their chicken and gnocci soup which is creamy with chicken, spinach and carrots. Soup was great. Skipped the gnocci tho.'

Then had crabmeat topped chicken with spinach and tomatoes with a glass Tuscan White Blend Moonlite wine that the so had to finish. That was okay. It looked better in the menu photo than how it was on the plate. Wine was okaaaaay.

Couldn't finish. Needed room for a split dessert which was the vanilla Panna Cotta with strawberries and coffee.

So I have a lunch in the fridge.

mlyonsd 09-16-2014 05:53 PM

Toasted PB and J, milk.
