I cannot believe the official Mizzou account and Drinkwitz both responded to this…hilarious.

Just ignore it…you’re gonna look even dumber and get dunked on even more NOW if you don’t play KU.

Why?

It’s not up to the Mizzou official Twitter account, Coach Drink, the players or even the fans (as much as we might like to think our opinion matters) where Mizzou ends up for their bowl game. It’s up to 3 groups working cooperatively:

1. Mizzou Administration
2. SEC Conference
3. Bowl committee (for whatever given bowl Mizzou is trying to land with)

All 3 of those consider dates, travel, fan attendance (see ticket sales), conference exposure, what is best for conference overall, etc. There are a lot of factors that go into it.

It’s all about those 3 when it comes to deciding where Mizzou will land ultimately. This narrative out there that Mizzou isn’t going to play Kansas because they’re afraid of them (like, really?) is ****ing stupid. Only an idiot would fall for that horseshit.

Not to be nitpicky but I think using the term, "butthurt" to describe KU's displeasure at being lied to by the Missouri athletic dept about their commitment to the Big XII is perhaps bordering on disingenuous.

Shit, well maybe they did say they didn't want to play KU, but meant it because the only game we could play them in is the Liberty Bowl or Texas Bowl and I really think they want to be done before X-Mas over anything.
