Come on, Tiger. Get hot tomorrow, please. just make the cut. Want to watch you over the weekend in honor of my dad.
|
39 players still need to finish the 2nd round and then the cut will be made. That's almost 1/2 the field.
Really ****ed up that guys will sit around not knowing if they will need to play in round 3 or go home. Then some guys finishing round 2 may need to turn around and go right back out or finish early and wait a long time. Hope TV or internet coverage is much better tomorrow cause the last two days have been horrible. Too much bullshit and too little live golf. |
On ESPN and its light rain.
|
Tiger gonna choke. Hit an absolute putrid drive on #18 after bogeying 17. I think the rain and cold will be too much for his knee and back.
|
Yep, as it stands now, Tiger would be out. Projected cut at +2.
|
raining like a cow peeing on a flat rock this morning
|
Keopka's going to have some knee problems when he gets back out there. These conditions are brutal on the mind body spirit in a golf match.
|
Rahm hit a 240 yard center laced drive on 18.
See what it's like assholes when you don't have dry fairways rolled away from you to get max roll all the time. |

Probably not so much for his leg and other surgically repaired parts. |
Oosthuizen quit rather than come back and play the 18th this morning. Can't say I'm surprised-- he's the same chickenshit that laid up from the rough on a par 5 when down two to Rahm on the 72nd hole of the US Open. Just another guy who cares more about cashing checks than taking a risk to win.

The Masters apparently chose not to include the leaders as a Featured Group this afternoon, which means the first anybody will see of them is the start of network coverage at 3. You’d think this kind of nonsense would have ended when they stopped putting replays of every single shot of every player in the field online but it hasn’t.
|
You can watch holes 4,5,6 on the masters app.
Not showing the leaders is an absolute joke. |

JT went from -2 to +4 in 9 holes to miss the cut.
He has sucked in the last year. His putting and chipping has been awful. |
I wish I could hit like they do.
Hell, at times I wish I could hit like the women do. |

OMFG actual leaders! Thank you wise and benevolent golf gods for this undeserved gift for which we are not worthy.

Not sure how much longer they can play with all the standing water.

Going forward, a Saudi network should broadcast the Masters instead of CBS.

Woods and Couples wish their play was as good as all their criticisms of LIV.

Did Koepka/Rahm both withdraw from the tournament? Or is CBS not allowed to show them because of other apps and schmaps?
Oh great. Now the play is over. Would have been nice to show it earlier instead of other nonsense. |
crap

They got through enough holes today so they could easily finish all of it by tomorrow evening. I imagine that was the plan all along.
Interesting time to stop, though, with a potential 2 shot swing between Koepka and Rahm on 7. |
Well….

LMAO And I just got in from raking rocks out of the ditch. Glad I hurried.

Also CBS got completely screwed by the Masters' decisions today. Got a whole 10 minutes of coverage. LMAO

The very first time I came to AZ to play golf was 1997. I played Troon North in Scottsdale. I hit at least 6-7 shots into the brush off the fairway. As I went looking for my ball I would lean in or reach in to look near bushes. At the time they looked harmless. By the time my round was over I had over 50 scratch marks, dried blood in several locations and 20-25 sharp needles stuck in my ankles and socks from jumping cholla. They have a slimy texture and barb like spines that make getting them out very tough. No one EVER warned me about desert golf in shorts. |

Wonder if Tiger shows up tomorrow or withdraws after today's showing?

Yep, you were correct. |
The rain delay is letting us watch more golf than when it was live.

The guy’s leg was completely shattered and then surgically repaired and he can’t move/walk like he once did or swing anywhere near the same speed he did before that happened, but why let facts get in the way of a good narrative? |

I'd be shocked if Tiger played tomorrow. That's not just his leg, that's his lower back as well. He's probably going to be feeling at least 50%-75% or so of that pain tomorrow when he wakes up. If he can get to sleep.
|

I sure hope not |

So disappointed right now. I know a percentage of how he's feeling right now and it's just miserable. |
It appears I am far from the only person pissed off at the incredibly shitty coverage of this event.
Twitter fans voicing pretty negative comments. They are richly deserved. The WORST coverage of any golf event in my lifetime, let alone the most watched Major. It's a great example why people are sick of the pompous PGA and places like stuck up Augusta. |

Shame on the PGA for getting steamrolled by Augusta. |

Every single thing about this event is what Augusta wants. Here's a good article about it. As long as they're the most prestigious golf tournament with the biggest ratings I doubt anything will ever change. https://frontofficesports.com/newsle...ls-everything/ |
Tiger quit.

It's pretty obvious this is the first time Scho, and the "Twitter fans voicing their opinions" have ever watched the masters. Not that Scho has ever been right about anything.

Augusta told Dwight Eisenhower to **** himself when he asked about the tree on 17. They DGAF.
And people complaining about TV coverage of the Masters have no idea what it used to be like. They have every final round on their YouTube channel. Go and watch the difference in coverage pre-2000. You hardly even see the leaders before 9. |

Times have changed and they've actually adapted in some ways but not others. |

I always thought Augusta protected their brand. Even now in the age of social media.
People want more-they refuse to a point. |
Up until 20 years ago you didn't know what the front 9 looked like unless were there.

Bennett has lost 4 strokes today. That stinks. Hopefully he can make a bit of a comeback.

Been watching the Masters for 44 years. I bet you're a real "expert". ROFL ROFL ROFL ROFL |
During the 70's and 80's, TV coverage was VERY different and there was no social media.
Things adapt over time and change for the better. Maybe we should broadcast the Masters in black and white from the 10th hole to make some of you purists happy that they are keeping with tradition and the Masters way. On a side note, surprised the crazies haven't gone after Augusta to change the name from "The Masters". |

Their first black player in the tournament was Lee Elder in 75. That discussion took place the year they were going to honor Lee Elder. |

This is why you should keep your mouth shut and stick to what you think you know about shitty Kstate. You know NOTHING blowhard. 1985 Masters showing leaders on 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th hole and all along the way. Some of you douchenozzles just make shit up. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/o3JjLT3pniE" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
Brooks Koepka, Jon Rahm, Viktor Hovland and Patrick Cantlay in the final two groupings. It doesn't get much better than that, four greats.
One of them is going to get their first green jacket and it will be a life changer even for a guy with four majors like Koepka. |
Hovland just missed that final long putt on 18 or else he would have been in the final group. He played great and if he gets it going again later, he could sneak by and win.
The coverage today was 100% better and they should plenty of other guys. I hope it's close |

I'm not sure they will have time to finish the round. Last 3-4 groups gonna have trouble, especially if any overcast.

Right now I'm watching two different feeds of the game on two 60 plus inch TVs. I'm streaming a feed on ESPN Plus via Hulu and I'm watching the main broadcast over the air on rabbit ears. More coverage laughing my ass off.
