The truth is Denver Broncos has been bidding up players at the last minute for awhile now. I dont really care, except for the LAST MINUTE part. That bothers me as it is stretching this free agency out waaaayyyyyyyy to long. It would be different if he actually made a competitive bid, one that said "hey, if you want him, you're gonna have to pony up and beat me". But that's not how he bids. He ups the ante by $1 at the last minute. Its an obvious attempt to ruffle some feathers and that's it, and maybe make you spend some more dough. I can appreciate the upping the ante to make the others spend more part, its the last minute part that has taken some of the fun out of this for me. Its unnecesary. It is definitely time to speed up this process a bit, put it from 3 days to 1.

I have legitimate interest in any player I bid up. Period. It's not trolling.

I only bid $1 because I see no reason to commit more dollars than necessary to any particular bid at any point in time. The only goal of that bid is to keep the player on the board while the dust settles in other bidding wars I'm a part of. When those wars settle, I'll probably bid more on someone else.

BTW, I agree that what I am doing is probably annoying. However, the system is set up for me to use it like this. I wouldn't call it abuse, because I'm only doing it with players I'm actually interested in. And I have made several competitive bids throughout this process, believe it or not. I drove the price way up on Victor Cruz because I wanted to sign him. Same with a few CBs and DTs.
