He could have sent Pioli to jail by turning over that bugged phone. He could of sued Pioli, the Chiefs and lived off the money for the rest of his life.

I can connect those dots. It's obvious the kid is soft so I can see where this would be one possible way for him to react.

I think the actual notable thing here is probably that Martin has some inherent mental illness (depression would be my guess) and the Dolphins don't appear to have a system in place to adequately deal with it.

Athletes are people too, even huge ones who make millions. And I think the sooner we, as a society, begin to accept the idea that mental health is a real thing, and that "toughen up and grow a pair" isn't the way to solve every problem, the better off we'll be.

But that's just my opinion...
