We can beat LA if the past is any indicator, but the Giants seem to own us and it looks like they are going to beat the Nationals.

If there were to be an I70 WS I would almost have to go to a game in both stadiums.

Of course they do. They only have to win four more games. The Cardinals have to win six, and will have to beat Clayton Kershaw and/or Donald Greinke in one of the next three to do so.

Should be a good game the Dodgers were 49-32 on the road this year. This team for some reason is a road team.

3 hours to go!

Dodgers also just announced Kershaw for game 4 and Greinke for game 5 if it goes to a 5.

We really have to win tonight. It's just too big of a hill to climb to beat Kershaw tomorrow, and that will make 4 Times in a row to beat Kershaw. Then Grienke in la on Friday. That is just too much to expect.

That's to be expected. It would be malpractice otherwise. He has a past success on 4 days rest.

Tonight is the swing game. Win it, and the Cards are prohibitive favorites. Lose, and they are damned near done.

Yep, same place LA was on Sunday. If they lost both Kershaw and Grienke games at home, they probably don't recover.

These Cardinal teams since 2011 have come back in postseason games so many times, I've lost count. But being forced to beat Kershaw and Grienke in consecutive games...to have a realistic chance, we have to avoid that scenario and must win the game tonight.

That was a pretty ballsy half-inning from Lackey. He was getting squeezed badly and came through, despite the increasingly bothersome horseshit defense from Yadi.

Yep, thats exactly why we got him. For whatever reason, the dude knows how to pitch in the playoffs.

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-06-2014 07:24 PM

That's horseshit. That same pitch was a strike when Lackey threw it. Same spot exactly.

Holy shit. This zone.

Marcellus 10-06-2014 07:24 PM

How the **** was that a strike?

Marcellus 10-06-2014 07:25 PM

Then thats a ball. Hitters are going to have no idea.

In a 5 game series, tied at 1-1, the winner of Game 3 wins the series 75% of the time.
