Alright Molina, got 5 run lead back.

Marcellus 10-22-2011 08:08 PM

Damn this is going to be a long night.

BigRedChief 10-22-2011 08:09 PM

Salas has a tired arm. Pull him TLR.

Chiefaholic 10-22-2011 08:09 PM

Can anybody on either of these teams pitch?

SPchief 10-22-2011 08:12 PM

Hope no one has to go to bed before midnight

The better question is why can't Freese catch anything? :banghead:

BigRedChief 10-22-2011 08:33 PM

Must be nerves because Lynn will usually at least throw strikes.

Marcellus 10-22-2011 08:42 PM

Come on AP!

Marcellus 10-22-2011 08:43 PM

That outside strike has been generous all night.

-King- 10-22-2011 08:44 PM

Pujols murdered that thing.

tk13 10-22-2011 08:44 PM

Breaking news. There are now two pieces of space debris scheduled to hit earth tomorrow. Holy crap.

Marcellus 10-22-2011 08:44 PM

He crushed that Mang!

SPchief 10-22-2011 08:45 PM

Roids helped him there :)

Smoke 10-22-2011 08:45 PM

The whole state of Texas just sat down and shut up.

KC_Connection 10-22-2011 08:49 PM

That was just massive.

I'm not quite sure why Ogando is still in this game, though. He's been awful the entire inning.

tk13 10-22-2011 08:52 PM

If that's a 423 foot HR it's 190 feet to first base. You're telling me that ball would've landed 20 feet beyond the center field wall? Maybe I need to see it again, but no way.

My thought too. I was thinking that HR had to be in the 480 range. Reminded me of the shot off of Lidge.

That was absolutely crushed. I bet it took some concrete off the facing. Would have kept going for another 100 feet if that concrete facing wasn't there.

I get that he was calling BS on the distance, I just now get he was saying if that was true it must be 190 to 1st, I read that too fast the first time.

I was seriously thinking before this inning it was going to take 12 runs to win this game.

Hope I was right.

Marcellus 10-22-2011 09:06 PM

Holy shit a 1,2,3 inning.

I say get 4 more for fun now.

I told my son 12 runs. After the 5th inning I changed it to a 12 run lead.

The Lidge one had a true distance of 455: http://www.hittrackeronline.com/hrde...hp?id=2005_263

Be curious what the HR comes out to. I dont know how you can crush a ball that much harder than that one was crushed.

That kind of homer can make your legend grow.

Marcellus 10-22-2011 09:13 PM

Holy shit this pitcher is annoying.

Marcellus 10-22-2011 09:15 PM

Pujols hit another one while I changed the channel. Where did this one go?

Pujols having a game for the ages.

CF 409ft. Just an average HR, not a 747 killer.

Marcellus 10-22-2011 09:19 PM

Breaking news, they have just closed all airspace over Arlington Texas.

Smoke 10-22-2011 09:20 PM

AP kicking the door open to the bank.

I can't say he isn't worth whatever amount he thinks he deserves. Just got to retire this guy a Cardinal.

Marcellus 10-22-2011 09:21 PM

You think Pujols will hang around for a post game interview tonight?

They should call another out for the shit being thrown on the field.

BigRedChief 10-22-2011 09:30 PM

gots to pull Lynn there. 8 run lead with 8 outs to go ain't safe in this park with this team.

Marcellus 10-22-2011 09:35 PM

**** I passed 10,000 post and had no idea until now.

And I did it without whore posting or BS posts, until this one.

BigRedChief 10-22-2011 09:35 PM

We need Jeff Passan to trash Pujols more often.

Marcellus 10-22-2011 09:38 PM

The storm already hit Joe, it was the Stl offense.

Marcellus 10-22-2011 09:45 PM

Thinking going foward here -

So if you want to sit Jay to get a bat in the lineup, who plays CF? Jay is sruggling a bit at the plate but we have no other CF do we?

nah, you can.t do anything for the next two games. Maybe when we get back to Bush and you throw Craig out there, take the hit on defense and take the bat in the line up.

Yea why not stick with the defense, 15 runs and he doesnt have a hit. He could save a run or two in CF before it's over.

Every game in the PO it's been a player here and there making it happen.

Craig,Pujols, Holliday, Freese, Berkman.

Yet all you heard about was the offense of Texas. Hmmmmmm.

KC_Connection 10-22-2011 10:08 PM

I love the people who say Fielder should get more $ than Pujols because he's younger. Insanity.

That guy is a moron who threw the ball back on the field. With that one hit he tied the all time record for most hits , RBIs, and HRs in a single game

I am fine as long as it isn't 9 or 10 years. Give him $40MM for 5 but not $30 for 9.

Absolutely.... sell that bitch on ebay.

tk13 10-22-2011 10:14 PM

Odd factoid. Darren Oliver gave up the 3rd HR tonight. He was drafted in 1988 by the Texas Rangers. The Rangers #1 starting pitcher that season? Charlie Hough, who gave up the 3rd HR to Reggie Jackson in 1977.

Marcellus 10-22-2011 10:14 PM

ARod got a 10 year/275M deal in 2007 at the age of 32. Is there any reason to think Pujols will get much less than that from some team? Doesn't he deserve it?

Chiefaholic 10-22-2011 10:26 PM

Pujols deserves to get paid like he's the best player in baseball. Pay the man St. Louis and stop being so stingy with your payroll. AJ merchandise alone will pay for his contract.

I thought last offseason someone might give him $300 million. Who knows now. I'd much rather have Pujols than A-Rod. Somebody out there is going to open up the wallet I think.

Look, being the highest paid player is what he wants. Getting $40MM over 5 years accomplishes that and he can retire being the only guy.

Total $ isn't the only objective.
