lol. He might be able to turn the regular two picks into a 6th as he did a couple of years ago though. There have been some decent bargains there at times, like the kid Buffalo picked up at CB this year (Benford) or a good RB like Khalil Herbert (Bears 2021) and, of course, Trey Smith falling. |
Overall this was an underwhelming trade deadline.

An individual 7th has little/no value to me. As a bundle of them? Hell, there might be something interesting there. If I'm some team sitting there looking at its board in the 5th and I see a shitload of guys sliding down that I don't think will want to play for my sorry team, that 5th may be less valuable than a pile of 7ths I can shotgun at flyers. It's one of those 'combined weight' sort of things similar to having back to back 1s last year. I think having both 1s back to back created just a little more value than either one of those picks in a vacuum. Having all 5 of those things may actually create a little more value than we think. |

Zdarius Smith? I dunno. More than a vet minimum type guy in Dunlap and Karlaftis. The bigger issue, IMO, was bringing Frank Clark back and expecting....well anything different really. |

And I dunno, just because you don't like the picks they made and are wringing your hands about DE doesn't mean the approach was wrong. Hell you act like this is last years defense. Its not, its much much better. |

I'm pretty stoked about getting Toney myself. A lot of guys were screaming to move up into the top 20 for a WR this past offseason... Well, Veach just pretty much did that with a pick around 105 and a 6th. Buys him only 3.5 years instead of 5 but that's a bargain. |

Now atleast this year it's young, so there's potential upside. They struggled with teh DL last year and we all talked about it coming into the year and surprise surprise, it's still not good enough hence the blitzing. |

Brandin Cooks is going to try the OBJ post-trade deadline approach in Cleveland of forcing his release?
