Here is a table of scenarios.
Blue means we make it, Red means we don't. Green means it comes down to a coinflip (literally). http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f1...ementtable.jpg |
Holy cow, Buck. That's quite a scenario.
Either way, looks like a lot more blue than red. Which is good. |

What a disgrace.

That ****ing ref needs his ass kicked. Seriously. It's obvious the mother****er had anti-American feelings. In other news, am I right in predicting our next game will be Wednesday at 9am central? |

Wednesday is going to be CUH-RAZYYY

The only 2 goals I haven't seen were Mexico's vs France, but both of the US goals today were definitely in the top 5. Maicon's was great, South Korea's Kim was good. The first goal against us today was pretty good too.
|
With Findley out, the starting line-up will most likely be very similar to our second half squad today (Buddle and Alitdore are redundant, not a good combo IMO).
Here is what I would like to see (sorry, but I just love predicting these): ------------------Howard Dolo--------DeMerit-------Onyewu---------Boca --------Bradley---------------Edu Donovan--------Holden---------Dempsey --------------Altidore |
I'd like to see Spector out there and Boca moved back to the middle.
Also, keep Bradley and Edu, move Buddle to right behind Altidore and let Altidore play up top. Buddle can scoop up long balls that either miss Altidore, or that Altidore lays off for him. |
just watched espn's edited replay of the game:
1. both goals the us gave up happened right in front of gooch who froze like a statue and did nothing...it was ugly, he was like a battleship trying to do a 180...he also moved like a 90 yr old man on donovan's perfect set piece cross...a quicker player scores...and to keep piling on, he repeatedly kicked the ball down field for no reason, giving it away instead of moving it through the midfield...i really feel like he played like shit and i hate his stupid beard. 2. Donovan was amazing. His free kicks are all in perfect position for someone to score. I retract my 'penis faced midget' comment. 3. the us had several chances to score in the 1st half...really just bad luck and inches...overall, the offense created a ton of great opportunities which bodes well moving forward 4. Altidore did a lot good things, and is good at drawing fouls (even when they aren't) 5. the yellow on findley was preposterous...he got hit in the face by a cross and they called him for a handball....you can't even make this shit up it is so stupid 6. ugh...the "play"....at least 3 us players we're put in WWF type locks, so of course they call the foul on the us and deny the game winning goal...watching the replays makes me want to break things...dempsey and edu make great efforts to break through the scrum, Donovan places a PERFECT ball, Edu scores....the whole god damn thing is beautiful and should have been the greatest goal in US history (given the context)....and that ****ing ref...he needs to be punished, by which i mean castrated and fed his own balls 7. Bradley's kid is a hell of player, totally fearless...we need another just like him in the middle of our defense 8. We totally dominated in the 2nd half...play like that and we'll crush Algeria...in spite of the defensive break downs the team got better, though playing Torres may have been a mistake (he did have a great bending free kick that could have scored in the first) remember when we could only score off corners and set pieces? yeah, not any more...will be curious to see if buddle gets a shot with findley out for algeria i actually feel much better about the game after rewatching parts of it...we can give germany or ghana a game in the next round...it will be tragic if we **** up against algeria... |
Torres is much better than he played today. I was excited to see him in the lineup, but he just didn't have it for some reason.
