Does anyone have any recommendations on a good golf instructor with launch monitor with indoor/outdoor facility that is reasonable around the Lee's Summit area?

Never took lessons in KC. Can't help you. I know that a lot of juniors used to go to Robin Nigro Golf Academy, but that's a good distance from Lee's Summit.

I'm currently taking lessons at Robin Nigro. Nothing indoors or with a launch monitor, but I'm pretty pleased with the results so far.

I played 18 yesterday and really struggled on the front, scoring a 55. Really started hitting my irons well on the back for a 44. Could have been much better but I went triple bogey, par, double bogey on the last 3 holes.

They do fittings without a launch monitor? That's unusual.

Lessons, not a club fitting.

They offer custom club fitting, which necessitates a launch monitor. If you offer custom club fitting and you're going to do it correctly, you need a launch monitor to gauge spin, launch angle and ball speed.

If they have a launch monitor for club fitting, they can use it for lessons. For example, you can use it to determine face angle and swing path, and you can see if your spin rates are optimal for your approach shots (approximately 1000 rpm per iron).

I understand what club fitting entails. And I never said they did not have a launch monitor. I was just commenting that my lessons did not involve the use of one.

I work right up the road from Robin Nigro and use their range occasionally. Which instructor are you using? I know they run ~$95 per hour session which is pretty pricey. They have a launch monitor inside and have a trackman for outdoor also. Surprised they didn't utilize them with your lesson.

Yeah, I got a good deal on it from a buddy who has had it for lessons he gives. I'm gonna try it out for a week or two before the final purchase.
