Maybe that's delusional, maybe it isn't.

If say a team like the Texans comes in with the biggest bag, Dhop will convince himself real fast that this is a stable organization with just a good a chance at the playoffs as any, with a Qb that can get him the ball so he can rehab his market.

Why not take the money and a longer vacation

If he's not getting the offers that he wants from the contenders...then why not go back to Houston?

He'd get to work with Stroud. Their WR room isn't the greatest and he would be returning to the team that drafted him.

It's just yet to be seen if Houston is interested in paying him.

Well, he has had 1,000+ yd seasons with Ryan Fitzpatrick, Brian Hoyer, Tom savage, Watson and Kyler. Developing chemistry with any QB or QB type doesn’t seem to be any kind of problem for him.

As long as he’s not a bill, bengal, chargers or eagle idgaf.

Yea I don't buy that, the agent he hired is trying to do all he can to drive up the price when in reality there's like 3 teams.

Skyy God 06-01-2023 10:44 AM

Y’all are misjudging Nuk.

He’s always been a targets > stats > money guy. DGAF about rings.

And he was dumped by BOB for a bag of dicks for bad locker room mojo.

Red Dawg 06-01-2023 10:46 AM

Hopkins is a money chaser. he will go to any team that pays the most.

Yup, that's where im at too.

You can swap Ravens for Chargers though.

Not a chance in **** he'd ever be a Charger. That's one team that gets circulated in the convo that makes no goddamn sense at all.

Never understood the Chargers either. They're about to be on the cusp of a mini salary dump next year just to get back to having zero cap space.

To be real fair 99.999999% of players are money chasers and you would be too.

They're going all in to just make the playoffs, they have serious cap problems without Herbert getting paid.

And adding Hopkins to a room with Williams/Allen/Johnston is quadruple redundancy. And they've already got big contracts out to Williams and Allen and just drafted Johnston, making their investment there already heavy.

It makes zero ****ing sense how that team is even in the conversation. They'd be one of the LAST teams that would sign Hopkins.

They're also generally kinda cheap, they drafted Johnston because they are going to lose Allen or Williams if not both after the year.

I'd be fine with any one of those teams signing DeHop. Most of them are already stacked at WR. The Bills are where he could probably have the most impact but I think they are on a downturn without Daboll. Let any of these teams blow a load of money on an aging vet. Yes, please.
