Most of the Draft experts figured the Chiefs would have to jump the Texans,Rams and Ravens to get Simmons. Veach was like William Wallace in Braveheart. Hold...Hold....Hold.

The Texans trading out and the the Commanders taking Conerly a few picks later sealed it.

If the Ravens had been in need of a LT and passed on him, that would be a bad sign, IMO.

Though I suspect they’ll be more cautious with bad injuries that “look as good as possible right now” following the David Ojabo pick and failure.

You left out Donovan Smith. But that’s a good summary

And DJ BumKnees, who was worthless from the start.

You seem nice

How's about we see how it goes with the #1 that we just took (and got a free 5th in the bargain)?

Just saying.

I know you liked Conerly but I will feel justified if he really does end up a guard.

I mean he can pass block but we'll see if I'm right about the run blocking part.

Meanwhile Seth Keysor on 810 said Simmons had zero "losses" on pass blocking from what he reviewed which is kind of insane.

Look I wanted Burton and maybe it's copium but I'm getting excited about Simmons

I agree. But let’s see both ways. The Internet doctor degree doesn’t prove good or bad either.

You're just incredibly dumb. That wasn't gonna happen either.

I watched the same video.

It was well done, but I lost a lot of faith in it when the dude just made up that Simmons is 80 percent likely to recover 100 percent from the injury...

His maths don't math...

It’s been repeated a lot from Dr interviews on this kid that the surgery for Simmons was “well done” bringing the question…have some of these past NFL players not had as successful surgeries with this injury?

Sterling Holmes did an interview with a Dr who said even a millimeters difference changes flexibility and strength in the knee long term. That’s a pretty goddamn fine line. It’s also why being a surgeon has to be stressful as hell.

Robotics have obviously been around for decades, but only recently has it amplified to such an extent with the use of AI algorithms for image recognition, surgical field analysis, motion control and enhancing surgical precision. I wonder if Simmons Dr used this technology to have a more precise surgery that will help recovery compared to other players?

The reason I say that was bc it was insane how well that kid was moving at his pro day just 5 months post-op. Like I did not expect that at all when I saw it.

Not to say Simmons will be fine. I’m just curious to see what Burkholder found to make him feel confident, and if this was part of his confidence.

Real life NFL is not Madden.

You need to get real. Of course you would make that trade. Neither the Cardinals nor the Chargers would have accepted that deal.

There's no "force trade" button, either.

Kiimo 05-03-2025 01:38 PM

If the "partial tear" rumor is true it changes...well everything about this pick

I saw he signed with the Niners a few days ago. It will be interesting to see if he ever returns to form.

Favoring that knee quite a bit.

Not to worry. It's his non-power knee.
