He hit it off the toe
|
Holy shit Rory
|
OMFG
|
Don’t worry, DeChambreau McElroy gave you an extra shot
|
Some brave camera guys in front of Bryson here
|
Chokey choke. Lexi-esque!
|
|
This is a nail biter!
|
Balls for Bryson to get that to the hole.
|
Wow
|
****ing giant king Kong ball shot right there.
|
What a shot
|
It is finished!
|
****ing A! That was AWESOME!!!
|
Rory Mickelson….
And I’m a Phil fan lol. |
Best major since Tiger won his last and it is entirely due to Bryson.

That was one hell of a US Open.

Rory's wife might want to get divorced again.

That’s an all timer there, don’t get me wrong lol. |
That was a choke job by Rory, but I'll remember those last two shots by Bryson more. Holy balls, those were amazing!
|
Gifted the tournament. He did make the last putt for the win I guess. DeChambeau needs to learn when to be humble. He's a douche! I almost always route for the American but not in this case. Even with the Payne Stewart connection who I new a little and played with a time or two. Those two guys aren't remotely alike.

I feel a bit vindicated as someone who misses a fair amount of fairways off the tee block.

Guys win all the time without being #1 hitting fairways. You win by not choking or missing 2-3 foot putts on the last few holes. Your hatred of BDC is now causing you to make a nonsense statement. |
Golf is about a complete game.
Scorecards tell you no stories even though golfers want to retell you about every shot they hit even though you sat in the cart next to them for the whole round. |

When you don't hit fairways, it the roll of the dice.
Behind a tree, no swing, hardpan, deep rough, pine straw and leaves, roots. There is where you can get lucky or get ****ed. I used to hate playing back east in the fall because it was so easy to lose your ball under leaves even though you were sure you knew where it went. |
I'm afraid Rory has the choke gene like I do. When I was a junior golfer I lost countless tournaments by missing 2 to 4 foot putts on the final holes. The anxiety just builds up and I just fail. Hands start to shake. Palms sweaty. Putter stroke becomes jagged. Maybe next time he should have a couple beers after the turn.

Was that an all time choke job by Rory or is it just me?
Don’t get me wrong, Brysons bunker shot was amazing, but if Rory makes 2 gimme putts he wins it outright. I told my buddies when Rory took the lead that he’d choke it away. |
The one on 16 was the real gimmie. The one on 18 was a tough putt.

Chamblee called it out instantly and was right. |
I think when Rory missed the putt on 16, the putt on 18 made his asshole pucker and he choked.
If you have played enough golf, you know that feeling the moment the doubt creeps in. You make nothing the rest of the day. On the other side, when you start seeing every line and draining putts, the hole looks like a rain barrell. I won a four-man scratch and scramble at my home NJ course where I drained putts from everywhere, including 30 and 40 footers. I think they used about 11-12 of my putts. I think I had runs of 4 in a row, 3 and 2 and 2. I also won a 2 man championship at a public course in NJ where I learned to play. There is even a plaque on the wall from like 30 years ago. |
It wasn't easy, but that was a gutless putt he hit on 18. Hit it hard to the back of the cup and take the break out of it in that spot. It really doesn't matter if you go 3 feet by there at that point anyway.
|
The US Open broke Rory.
Just reported he is stepping away from golf for a break. |
Quote:
I’m not sure that really qualifies as “stepping away”. |

The media may have ****ed up the context |
He's just taking 3 weeks off now before playing the Scottish Open. He's played 3 weeks in a row and 5 of the last 6 as it is.
|
He needs time to speak with his lawyers on how much of his estate is going to the ex
|
I didn't even know the Scottish Open is now the Genesis Scottish Open.
Isn't a US tourney also a Genesis sponsored and named? |
Jesus Christ is Tom Kim slow as shit.
They have just been warned they are out of place by a hole. Scheffler once again in the lead.....just remarkable. |
Missed a 3 footer on 17 and then somehow missed the green from 110 yards away on 18 to lose my friends member guest by a half a point.

Scumbags protesting.

Well, it was green smoke, and red and white powder, so probably Palestinian pieces of shit. Should have just taken them into the sand trap and shot them. So sick of these protester pieces of shit. Time to make an example.

I mean, I know we're seeing historic shit here. What level though, he's gonna make a run at the all-timers isn't he? Tiger was obviously different for a ton of reasons, but what would be his comparable dominant streak?

We have become so accepting and complacent for people putting other people at risk, destroying property and disrupting people's lives.
I'm ****ing sick of it and these people need to start serving jail sentences to shut it down. |

The 2025 Ryder Cup captain is.......Keegan Bradley.
Alrighty lol...it's different, I'll give them that. Zach Johnson really did a number on them haha. |
Quote:

He's very respected and generally well-liked amongst all players on Tour, so I think this is a good choice. He will have Tiger, Stricker and probably one other veteran Vice with him, so I'm not worried about him being so young. If he continues good form into next year, he may very well be a playing captain, as well.
|
I like it. Dude absolutely LOVES the Ryder Cup so you know he's gonna put in the time and effort. He's also young enough still to know how certain guys mesh behind the camera and out of the spotlight.
