THE LAUGHER of the week is a Patriots/Broncos teaser. Get both of them by 2.5.

Easiest money in the world. If you tease Manning/Brady together alone every week you're a huge winner EVERY SINGLE YEAR.

That's the only bet I made today.

Oh, and I have seen playoff football before. I was laughing at everyone last year when they were 'game over'ing' the Steelers when they fell down by like 17 to Tim Tebow and assured everyone it was FAR from over.

This game?

It's over right now.

Broncos represent a TERRIBLE matchup for the Ravens. Just like the Patriots represent a TERRIBLE matchup for the Texans.

I want to hear some of the reasons why you think Denver, who completely represents the worst possible matchup for the Ravens, can lose this game.

please

please

entertain me

This !

I don't think anyone is putting all their eggs in the Flacco basket - people are just saying that Denver isn't playing Jacksonville.

but I don't care about last year

the Ravens LONE shot in this game is to get up 7-0. If the Broncos score, in any fashion, first...the game is going to be a blowout.

I do have the 49ers over the Packers, but it's not a stone cold lock and I'd never bet it. Rodgers one weakness (and the reason why he's #3 in my QB power rankings) is holding the ball too long, taking way too many sacks. The 49ers get to the passer. Kaepernick is also vastly underrated. I have them 31-23.

Looks like it may be colder than even expected today. 7 degrees currently in Denver. 16 predicted at game time.

I live here and it's already 16 at 11:35 and Weatherunderground say's the high will be 30 by 2:30 kickoff

Hootie, Who you got between ATL-SEA? Alot of people like Seattle, but I think Ryan finally wins a playoff game.

Amazing how different all these reports are.

The "Real Feel" numbers are interesting. Below zero right now, and again by halftime.

too tough to call IMO

another game I wouldn't touch with a 50 foot pole

personally? I'll take the Falcons. Home game. The Seahawks were going to lose last week sans the injury. I think they are becoming so trendy that people are overrating them at this point.

But I sure do like Russel Wilson.

Hootie 01-12-2013 12:39 PM

I can never take the trendy pick. This year, the Seahawks and Packers are too trendy for me.

The Packers were a flawed team this year. Flawed defense and I tell you, Rodgers holds the ball too long. I love him, great QB, but he's not on the Manning/Brady level because of that. The 49ers are a tough, tough matchup for the Pack because of Kaepernick AND because of their pass rush.

I have Denver/San Fran in the Super Bowl.

Hootie 01-12-2013 12:41 PM

BUT I think the REAL Super Bowl is the AFCC Game. Denver/New England. That is the game I'm truly looking forward to. If it doesn't happen for some reason I'll be crushed.

That'll be a game I'll never forget. Two legends. OMG

a football fans dream

Back atchya with so called worse matchup argument. Tell me where Atlanta has a great match up going against Seattle even with Clemons out. Big ass physical corners with a great pass rush even with Clemons out. Lynch should eat the Falcon's lunch today and Alt D is not that talented to contain both Lynch and Wilson IMO.

Hootie 01-12-2013 12:55 PM

hey

if Seattle was at home I'd call it a lock

they aren't, so I am not touching it

if Seattle wins by 30 I won't be surprised, but I'd still take Atlanta to win with a gun to my head

Not without the other Smith being a 100% they don't. The one saving grace for the 49ers today is that they are at home that somewhat offsets Smith not being 100%. I get your point about Rodgers, but he won't hold on to the ball long today I guarantee it and you will see a lot of quick underneath routes to Cobb to soften the D to set up the run to some degree but more importantly the deep ball.

Hootie 01-12-2013 12:58 PM

I'd take the Pack. Not as high on Kaepernick as you are. (Not saying he sucks or anything)
